Fun Fall Activities

Fall's usual color palette has been orange, d, green, and mustard yellow. This year, it is about burgundy and moss green. They fit in e normal fall colors but have a little more rsonality. These shades of classic colors are rfect for sweaters, bags, scarves, and skirts. For patterns, look for plaid and animal ints--specifically leopard prints for 2024. ottish immigrants actually brought plaid into e public's sights at the end of the 18th century, and it is a popular trend for this season. It is mostly seen in skirts, so if you want to give off that Dark Academia style energy, this would be the perfect opportunity to start wearing plaid It has been increasing as a pattern for pants, but it also appears in accessories, like shoes Since leopard prints are all the rage this year, they can be found in many mainstream stores Why not add some plaid or leopard to your fall wardrove?

Tips for a Successful Year

A new school year has begun!! Freshmen may be excited and nervous about their first year of high school, and seniors may feel nostalgic since it is their last year Some students are excited to meet friends after a long summer break, and some are nervous to make new friends and adapt to new things Here are some tips for those who may want to be a successful student, but don’t know what to do

The most important thing to be successful is to prioritize healthy habits Those who are not healthy physically or psychologically need to spend more time on their health Even though they have enough academic knowledge, they may not be able to use it effectively if they are not healthy. It’s important to eat breakfast every day and have a regular sleeping schedule.

Another tip is to learn time management. Managing time effectively and wisely leaves students with enough time for personal activities.

Another suggestion for success is to try to make strong connections with teachers. They are there to help, to support, to give advice, and to provide whatever it is that students need.

Looking for more tips about being successful? Ask other students such as seniors. They can help! It may feel to freshman that everything is new, since it is their first year here Even if they are so anxious that they will not know what to do, remember that older students probably struggled too during their freshmen year Adapting always takes some time, but asking someone that has already been through it can be very helpful and lesson your struggles

Questions for High School Seniors

How does it feel to be a senior in high school?

Sarah--“It's hard to believe that it’s already my last year in high school, because I can clearly remember my first year here.”

Makayla--“I’m excited and scared to make choices ”

Jinny--“I’m kind of sad because time has been going so fast and I feel like I’m still in middle school I’m excited about graduation, though ”

What concerns do you have as a senior?

Their common concern is college applications. They all said “I’m more scared than excited, because I have a lot of things to get into college.” and “I’m concerned about finishing my application and getting into a good college ”

What do seniors hope to do more of this year?

Sarah--“I want to enjoy my last year like homecoming, prom and graduation.”

Makayla--“I just want to enjoy school activities.”

Jinny--“I want to join more different clubs, spend time with my friends, meet new people and try new things in my last year in high school ”

Top Movies to Watch during the Fall/Halloween Season

Imagine this: you and a few friends and family are gathered in the living room on a fall night You turn on the TV to find the perfect movie Uh oh! There's a problem: you have no idea what to watch Even though Halloween is over for this year, it’s not too late to enjoy these Halloween themed movies.

Fetch your dog and some snacks for the world's favorite, classic Halloween movie: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. This short, 25-minute film is perfect for family movie night. This movie features the main character, Charlie Brown, as he gets invited to his first Halloween party, which all his friends from school attend. However, his friend Linus stays out all night waiting for the Great Pumpkin, a Halloween version of Santa Claus, to give him gifts. It is a heartwarming short film reflecting a child's innocence and youth.

Make way for the Pumpkin King with Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. This unique movie mixes Christmas and Halloween themes. Released in 1993, this film follows the main character, Jack Skellington, as he tries to steal Christmas for his own Halloween town However, he soon discovers that not everything happens as he wants Sing along to the catchy lyrics in this hit of a movie!

“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!” If you say his name three times, you will unleash a powerful demon that will torment you and your family. The only way to get rid of this freakish monster is to say his name three more times. Beetlejuice is a 1988 film directed by the one and only Tim Burton. This movie begins with a young couple living in a vast house wanting to start a family. They died in a car accident Yet, they make it back home and do not realize that they're dead until later in the story They have to deal with new people living in their house now or try to scare them away Ultimately, they call Beetlejuice for help This movie is recommended for those who like a nice scare with a bit of comedy to go along with it

Name an Adam Sandler movie that isn't good… It’s impossible! In Huebie Halloween, Adam Sandler stars as a notoriously known townsperson that nobody is fond of because he is portrayed as dorky. As a result, he is often a victim of the cruelest pranks and bullying. However, this all changes when suspicious activity starts going around in his small town during Halloween, and the only ones who can stop it are Huebie along with his lovely mom This film features small scares with a bit of comedy for that perfect entertainment ratio Will Huebie ever gain respect from his fellow townspeople, or will he continue to be trampled by them? Find out by watching this 2020 film!

A mother always protects her child and would never subject them to any danger… right? That's not the case for 11-year-old Coraline Jones, who is moving into a new house. Surrounded by an unfamiliar home, Coraline feels neglected because of the lack of quality time with her parents Eventually, she finds a button key that could open a crawl space door She asks her negligent mother for the key to open the mysterious door, only to be disappointed when she finds nothing but bricks guarding the entrance. Later that night, she is led by three of her neighbor’s mice outside of her bedroom.

The mice lead her to the now unblocked door where a portal appeared at the end of the crawlspace. She is greeted by her loving “parents” and a delicious meal; they are everything she dreams of. She finds that the house on the other side of the portal is just like her own; however, two things are different Everyone has buttons for eyes on the other side and everything is perfect, or so she thought Coraline quickly realizes that her utopian world carries a more sinister secret that could potentially end her life and her real parents' lives.

The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Beetlejuice, Huebie Halloween, and Caroline are great movies However, I recommend The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, especially for younger viewers, as this one has many more heartfelt scenes than scary ones For those who prefer comedy over horror, I recommend Beetlejuice because it makes light of

scary themes such as death. Musical fans will love A Nightmare Before Christmas because of the catchy soundtrack. Huebie Halloween is a must for Adam Sandler fans because if you loved him in other movies, you'll surely love him in this one. If you like to catch easter eggs or come up with possible movie theories, then Coraline is the one for you! Add these great movies to your watching list and enjoy!
