A note from the Board Chair
Twenty years ago, my two preteen boys and I took our first NRF Field Trip, spending a morning mucking for mussels in the Mukwonago River under the watchful eye of a DNR expert. Though neither boy pursued a conservation career, they do carry the badge of all Wisconsin lovers of the outdoors: an annual state park sticker on their windshields. I surmise that
someday they will introduce their cbgchildren to our state’s wild wonders through their own NRF Field Trip experiences.
For forty years, NRF has protected Wisconsin’s lands, waters, and wildlife and connected people with nature. Since Field Trips began in 1993, with the help of wonderful expert leaders NRF has helped thousands of Dave Adam
people explore the wonders of Wisconsin through 4,444 field trips across the state.
This hands-on engagement—and the conservation work on the ground it helps support—would not be possible without you. In these first 40 years, NRF donors have made over $14 million in conservation impact.
On behalf of the staff and the board of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, thank you for the role you play in protecting, preserving and promoting our state’s wild spaces and wonderful species.
