MANCHESTER PRIDE FESTIVAL

Manchester Pride Festival, winner of ‘Best Large Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards 2022, is back this August Bank Holiday weekend (25-28 August). In partnership with Booking.com, the festival invites everyone to celebrate and advocate LGBTQ+ equality with an exciting line-up of local and international artists.

The Gay Village Party, co-created with Manchester’s queer communities, will be the heart of the festival, with performances from incredible queer artists. The line-up is the festival’s most diverse to date, featuring 96% queer performers, 54% women, 51% people of colour and over 42% from trans and non-binary communities. Headliners include Brazilian drag sensation Pabllo Vittar, international icon Jake Shears, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard.

The festival comprises several events alongside the Gay Village Party including the Manchester Pride Parade, Superbia Weekend, Human Rights Forum, Family Pride MCR, and Youth Pride MCR, and culminates in a reflective Candlelit Vigil in Sackville Gardens.

All events are free to attend, with the exception of the Gay Village Party. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster, with options for weekend, daily, VIP, low income and family tickets. £2.50 from each ticket goes to the Manchester Pride Community Fund, benefiting LGBTQ+ causes in Greater Manchester.
