BENEFITS TOOLBOX

A Publication of the New York City District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds

In June 2026, the NYCDCC Welfare Fund launched its “This Is Not a Drill” cancer screening campaign and a new webpage at nyccbf.org/cancer. The campaign encourages members and dependents to learn about recommended cancer screenings and take action to protect their health. Through our new webpage, members can: • Learn which cancer screenings may be appropriate based on age, risk factors, and screening guidelines, • Receive personalized screening recommendations through Memorial Sloan Kettering's online assessment tool, • Find participating providers and scheduling resources, and • Learn more about cancer prevention and early detection. See page 3 for additional campaign information.

A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dear Brothers and Sisters, This edition of Benefits Toolbox highlights several important developments intended to help you and your family make informed decisions about your health and benefits. We continue to place a strong emphasis on preventive care. Our “This Is Not a Drill” campaign encourages members and dependents to understand recommended cancer screenings and take action, because early detection can make a meaningful difference. This edition also highlights resources available through Teladoc, Independence’s behavioral health programs, and our new Hello Heart program. Additionally, we recently launched a redesigned website to make it easier to find benefit information, forms, news, and other important resources. Please visit www.nyccbf.org and become familiar with everything available to you. As always, the Benefit Funds remain committed to providing clear information, useful resources, and meaningful support to our members and their families. Fraternally, Olivia Cuggy Executive Director, NYCDCC Benefit Funds
