The marvelous world of Cirque du Soleil never ceases to amaze me, so when I heard that Quidam was coming to South Florida, I could not pass up the opportunity to share my passion for Cirque du Soleil with Wire Magazine’s readers. It is hard to believe that what started as a group of 20 street performers in 1984 has become a high-octane artistic entertainment empire with 5,000 employees that include 1,300 artists from more than 50 different countries. Cirque du Soleil has delighted more than 100 million spectators in more than 40 countries the world over. This year alone, Cirque du Soleil will simultaneously present some 20 different shows around the globe — that is truly amazing!
