DJ Alex Lo from Mexico has been a music lover all his life. This year, Alex is part of the URGE Miami Thanksgiving Festival and will be spinning on Friday night. Rafa Carvajal: Where are you originally from and where do you live? Wilson Lai: I was born in Whittier, California and grew up in Orange County most of my life. Right now I reside in El Monte, California.

RC: What do you do for work? WL: I am a bartender at Tempo Cantina.

RC: How do you stay in such great shape? WL: Fast metabolism, gym routine and a huge lack of desire to go out. I'm a homebody. Lol.

RC: What are your top three favorite exercises? WL: Incline bench press, narrow stance leg press/ squat, and T-bar rows. URGE is also partnering with Bliss Health to offer all attendees STD tests, STD & HIV prevention treatments, as well as at home tests (which have to be scheduled) for attendees with or without insurance.

I sat down with Alex Lo to learn about his interests, career and what he has planned for URGE Miami Thanksgiving Festival. Check out what Alex had to say.

Rafa Carvajal: Where are you from and how did you get into DJing? DJ Alex Lo: I‘m from Mexico City and I started DJing 13 years ago. I have been a music lover all my life.

RC: What do you enjoy the most about being a DJ? DAL: Seeing the people enjoying my music and having fun. RC: What are you looking forward to the most about being part of this year's URGE Miami Festival? DAL: I’m really excited to be part of this huge Festival with an amazing line up and venues.

RC: Tell our readers about the URGE Miami Thanksgiving Festival event you will be deejaying at. DAL: I’ll spin Friday night for the Pre-Party of Arena Festival, showing a little of this Mexican Festival.

RC: What should we expect from your sets for URGE Miami Festival? DAL: I’m working in the studio on a lot of new music. I’ll play my exclusive remixes of my favorite Pop divas.

RC: What is your message for anyone who is considering attending this year's Festival? DAL: This is a unique experience, totally different than other festivals.

RC: Why is this Festival such a special event? DAL: Because the Festival brings people from all over the world. Miami is a magic place to play and more during Thanksgiving.

RC: What does it take to prepare for a festival of the caliber of URGE Miami Thanksgiving Festival? DAL: Time, dedication and a lot of music.

RC: How do you stay in such great shape? DAL: Cardio and food portions.

RC: What are your favorite three exercises to stay in shape? DAL: Pull-ups, tri series and cardio.

RC: What are your favorite foods? DAL: Pizza and all McDonald's items.

RC: What is your biggest goal that you have yet to achieve? DAL: DJing in all the continents and getting a Grammy.

RC: What else would you like to share with Wire Magazine's readers? DAL: I’m really happy to be part of Wire Magazine on the cover for the Thanksgiving edition. I also love to share more of my personal life through my social networks @alexlodj.
