Miami Beach turns 100 years old this month and the City of Miami Beach is observing the occasion with numerous events in conjunction with the official occasion, as well as with events across the calendar. As the longest running weekly in South Beach, Wire Magazine wants to take this opportunity to congratulate Miami Beach on its birthday and tell our readers about the Centennial Celebration.
The Centennial's highest-profile event is the upcoming Hard Rock Rising - Miami Beach 2015 Global Music Festival on March 26. Miami Beach will feature a 100-hour, non-stop historic festival beginning Sunday, March 22. In addition to Hard Rock Rising - Miami Beach 2015, festivities include a concourse car show, pageant, an astrophysical concert, beachside wedding for 100 couples, naturalization ceremony for 100 new U.S. citizens, a world-class CAA tennis exhibition, and more.
