Rafa Carvajal: Tell our readers about yourself.

Jake Resnicow: I love giving back and I'm especially psyched to take this year's White Party gala to the next level. This event directly benefits Care Resource, which has been at the forefront of the fight against AIDS for 35 years. They provide incredible care and treatment for our communities.

RC: What do you do for a living?

JR: Event-producing is my full-time gig. I'm so grateful to be doing what I love. To think that I graduated from school with a degree in government. I don't think I could ever imagine working in politics now.

RC: What are the largest events you have produced?

JR: In Las Vegas, I take over the Cowabunga Bay Water Park from day into night with 20 waterslides and fireworks. It's over-the-top! I've also have produced events at Universal Studios Orlando and Governors Island, New York, but what I am planning for WorldPride next year will definitely be my biggest event ever. I'm so excited!

RC: What differentiates you from other top event producers in the industry?

JR: My commitment to raising the bar and creating memorable experiences, giving every event a wow factor. From theatrical elements to live installations, I challenge myself at every event by asking how we can do more. I have a fierce attention to detail that often keeps me up at all hours of the night. It just isn't the greatest for my love life.

RC: What are the most important events you are producing or working on over the next 12 months?

JR: After White Party, I am working on several special events in Miami Beach for New Year's and Pride. I hope you can join us! In June, I head to Vienna for Life Ball, and then it's WorldPride in New York. I am preparing a series of mega-events, benefiting the Stonewall Gives Back Initiative. I'm very excited to have brought on all-star technical director Steve Lieberman. For over 20 years, he has been the genius behind the incredible stage and light shows you see at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Ultra Music Festival. Together, we're going to raise the bar and give guests an experience never before seen at New York Pride.

RC: Describe yourself in 3 words.

JR: Passionate, loyal and ambitious.

RC: What motivated you to move from New York to Miami?

JR: The quality of life. The sunsets, the beach, the weather – it's amazing. I still commute to New York every month for my events and to see friends.

I feel very fortunate.

RC: Why did you decide to produce this year's White Party and donate your services?

JR: I first attended the White Party in 2006. I was instantly in awe by the magic of the event at Vizcaya Gardens, the "crown jewel" of AIDS fundraisers. I had been to parties all over the world, but there was nothing like this one. It was a gathering of angels.

When I heard White Party decided to consolidate their efforts this year into producing one amazing gala, I leaped at the opportunity to be a part of it. It's a pleasure collaborating with Jonathan Welsh and Steve Beko at Care Resource. They do phenomenal work for the community and are so committed to the cause.

RC: Tell our readers about this year's White Party at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

JR: There is no venue in all of Florida as magical as Vizcaya. We'll be transforming it into the most opulent of galas, with over 300 LEDs, 20 live performers, art installations and a very special live performance by legendary Chic vocalist, Kimberly Davis.

RC: How will this White Party be different from others our readers have attended in the past?

JR: We are bringing back the sensualist delight of this legendary event, celebrating life, diversity, family, and community. From the moment you arrive at the Vizcaya entrance, and as you start the walk up the dimly lit path toward the palazzo, fantasy awaits.

JR: For over 35 years, every dollar raised from this event directly supports HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention and the medical programs of Care Resource.

Under the leadership of Rick Siclari, they have four locations in South Florida, providing comprehensive health and support services to our community. They truly are an amazing organization and I'm honored to be a part of this fundraiser.

've been 'jonesing' for a good action/adventure film for some time now. It's been quite a while since a really good one has graced the screen. I like getting involved in the film's action, quietly cheering on the hero, watching the complex story unfold, realizing the impossibility of overcoming the situation, and then seeing a slam-bam over the top conclusion. How could you not love that kind of movie? Yet, they no longer make many of them.

ican submarine captain Joe Glass (Butler) is sent into Russian waters by Rear Admiral, John Fisk (Common), to find the sub and seek out what happened.

So along comes Hunter Killer (the name of an advanced class of American attack submarine), a geopolitical thriller complete with action hero Gerard Butler, proverbial semi-bad guy Gary Oldman, a batch of unstoppable navy seals, and a hand full of rogue Russians. Be still my heart!

Meanwhile, above the surface, a rogue Russian Defense Minister (Gor), has taken the Russian President (Diachenko) prisoner in a coup attempt that depends on provoking the United States into a war.

Finding two submarines on the ocean floor next to each other, Glass soon discovers that the American sub was torpedoed, but quickly realizes that the Russian sub was sabotaged from within. Before he can make sense of any of this, let alone breathe, he is under attack.

Now, I'm not saying this film is in a class with such submarine movies as Das Boot or The Hunt For Red October, it's plainly not.

It's riddled with every military action movie contrivance you can think of, but so what, they are still fun to watch, and this film uses them so very well.

I grabbed my popcorn, sipped my coke, and snuggled into my seat to watch the action, hoping the film would be outrageously entertaining. RC: Who is the professional icon that inspires you most, and why?

JV: I'm a total fan of David Vance's work. It's the reason why I started modeling six years ago. I've worked very hard on my body, poses, and perspective to reach my goal and made my dreams come true. In the same way, I discovered Jorge Freire's work and you know what happened next.

RC: How do you stay in such great shape?

JV: I stay in shape with a military diet, healthy lifestyle and working out every day.

RC: What do you enjoy the most about modeling for photography?

JV: I love posing nude. I love the nude body expression. For me, it's a piece of art. I always try to push myself for excellence even if it hurts me or if I'm tired.

RC: Boxers or briefs?

JV: Honestly, both. But my favorite thing is to be nude every time I can at home, the sauna or beach, etc.

RC: What is your favorite food?

JV: I'm a chicken addict, and like to complete my meals with rice and vegetables.

RC: What is your favorite pastime?

JV: My work and sports take up a lot of my time, so it's difficult to find a moment for pastimes. But, when I can, I love fishing.

RC: Where would you travel if you could go anywhere, and why?

JV: The Caribbean and Australia. The first for the weather, sun and beautiful beaches.

The second for the wild animals since I'm an animal lover.

RC: What is your current struggle?

JV: I'm always fighting against homophobia and racism. Everybody needs a loving place in this world and "only God can judge me."

RC: Is there anything else you would like to share with Wire Magazine readers?

JV: I'm extremely proud to present and share my passion with Wire Magazine readers, and I really hope they like my pictures.

Michael Bustamante: What attracted you to this role?

Nic Rouleau: Cornelius is a role I've wanted to play for a long time. He has one of my favorite songs ever written for musical theatre, and it's a joy to get to sing it eight times a week on stage. But more than that, he's just a fun character to play. He's feeling stuck in his life and yearning for an adventure, and it's a thrill to get to go on that adventure every night.

MB: What do you think our readers will enjoy the most of going to see Hello, Dolly!?

NR: Our entire cast is really stellar. Led by the one and only Betty Buckley, also starring Lewis J. Stadlen – they're both seasoned Broadway veterans, and it's an honor to get to perform alongside the two of them.

MB: What's your favorite part about Hello, Dolly!?

NR: That's an easy question – Jerry Herman's score – it's genius and beautiful. It has brassy anthems and marches, tender love songs, laugh-out-loud comedy gold, and everything in between. I challenge you to leave the show without humming at least one of Herman's delightful tunes on your way out the door.

MB: What would surprise our readers to know about this production and about you?

NR: I think what audiences find most surprising about the show is how funny it is. It's been adapted from Thornton Wilder's 1954 play The Matchmaker, and it really is a farce through and through. Definitely come to be entertained!

MB: Why is Hello, Dolly! a must-see show?

NR: This is the most lavish production of Hello, Dolly! you are ever going to see. From the costumes to the sets, the lighting to the orchestrations, everything is top-notch. It's truly a spectacle from every angle and it's not to be missed!
