The art of female impersonation is no easy feat. It requires far more than a powdered nose and a relentless pair of pumps. But with two decades of acclaim, collaborations with such industry favorites as Elton John, Christina Aguilera and Cyndi Lauper, and even a stamp of approval from the icon Cher herself, it seems someone has the recipe just right. Taking a page out of RuPaul’s drag bible, encompassing "charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent," Chad Michaels has taken the word “impersonation” to new heights. Producing and performing with the longest running female impersonation show in California, The Dreamgirls Revue, Chad has solidified his position as one of the country’s most prominent female impersonators. It was in 2011, however, that he caught the attention of viewers worldwide on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race on LOGO.
