Once again the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine is set to elevate South Florida's culinary scene to the international spotlight. Now in its 13th incarnation, the festival, Feb. 20-23, has become widely recognized as America's most prestigious gourmet gathering.
This wasn't always the case. When the festival was launched in its fledgling years, it was a small event held on the campus of Florida International University. However, its quality began an incomparable evolution that led to the addition of world-class sponsors, of world-class chefs and culinary experts and an astounding expansion of programming. While FIU remains an omnipresent component of the festival, it has expanded to include countless members of the U.S. and global culinary community, from chefs to restaurant owners and investors to foodies from all over the world.
