The return to Connecticut and the host site, the Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort, will resent a full program that includes presentations by industry veterans that includes Keynote speaker Paul Furtado, chief operating officer of Prysmian North America, a company that made quite a splash recently when it announced that it was acquiring Encore Wire. The other Keynote speaker is H.O. Woltz III, chairman, president and CEO of Insteel, who has long been a strong supporter of the ferrous wire industry. The WAI will be honoring him with the presentation of the Champion’s Award. We hope you came early, because the program starts off with an Association first: the annual Clockwinding tradition. It will be carried out at 9 am on Tuesday, when Dave Lane of Northampton Machinery, Co./MGS Group, becomes the first British Clockwinder to physically perform the ceremony outside WAI headquarters since it was presented to the Association in 1948. There will be many other memorable speakers and presentations.
