www.punchflybrid.com It will become more and more unacceptable to waste energy – no matter if this energy is provided by a fossil fuel, HVO or even from renewable sources. Unfortunately, many generators on construction sites currently waste energy as they are sized for the peak dynamic load response.

The power demands from equipment like cranes, hoists or large pumps are often very dynamic which traditionally requires large generators. However, these peaks in load only occur from time to time. Most of the time the generator only needs to provide a fraction of these peak powers. Therefore, it mostly runs inefficiently, which wastes energy.

The PUNCH Power 200 product uses energy stored in a flywheel to respond very quickly & at high power rates to these dynamic load requests. As a result, the generator can now be sized for the steady state load.

Typically, using the PUNCH Power 200, enables the generator to be halved in size. Therefore, significant fuel & emission savings are realised.

Depending on the base generator size, fuel savings of between 9,000l per year to over 30,000l per year per generator have been demonstrated.

Per tower crane, this results in emission savings of up to 80 tonnes per year – the equivalent (per crane) of removing 100% of the emissions from 50 passenger cars from our city centres.
