Swiss quality is at our core The Wipf Group is a typical privately owned Swiss enterprise with a long tradition. In the flexible packaging, envelopes & stationery, direct marketing and digital segments, the Wipf Group is one of the leading and innovative providers in Europe.

The Wipf Group is one of Switzerland’s oldest and most venerable companies. Headquartered in Brugg, the family-owned business employs over 600 people. In 2019, the Group generated sales of about 179 million Swiss francs. Under its roof, the Wipf Group unites a number of segments including packaging production, high-end polymer technology, envelope manufacturing and printing alongside visual communication solutions in the domains of outdoor advertising, sales promotion, and signage.

During the past years, the Wipf Group has systematically invested in new locations and agencies. Overall, the Wipf Group has a presence at 12 business and production sites as well as 18 representatives around the world.

Certain products and brands of the Wipf Group are distributed throughout the world, including WICOVALVE®, WICOSEAL®, POLIALUVEL®, POLIVEL®, and RC-Film®.

The ELCO®, Swiss Direct Marketing®, Flyerline®, and Christinger® brands are marketed across Europe.

Still a family business The Wipf Group still belongs to the family of company founder Heinrich Wipf. When current Chairman of the Board Christian H. Wipf, representing the fourth generation, took over the executive function from his father, the Group consisted of three companies. During the past ten years, Christian H. Wipf succeeded in strengthening the holding company and evolving the individual businesses with management changes, consolidation, and acquisitions. Meanwhile, about one third of the Group’s revenues is generated abroad.

Ambitious goals Christian H. Wipf’s highly ambitious goal is to leverage his company into Switzerland’s leading provider of Flexible Packaging, Envelopes & Stationery, Direct Marketing, and Digital Services. The acquisition of Flyerline Schweiz AG and Christinger AG was the first step in this direction. During the last two years, the Wipf Group acquired Stickerella.ch, Festag AG, tabletop ag and Michel Werkzeugbau AG.

Film competence from Thailand

Wipf AG, an internationally active company, and its wholly-owned subsidiary Wipf Doypak A.Ş. develop and produce high-barrier packaging films and pouches for the food, pharma, and non-food industries. The export share of the eminent Swiss company is over 70%. Its innovative WICOVALVE® aroma-protection and pressure-relief valves are distributed on a global scale. Thanks to regular audits, the company can guarantee consistently high quality and benchmark hygiene. Internal processes have been optimized and standardized since 2012. In 2019, the company was awarded the most highly endowed innovation prize for the outstanding development of a gas bag for the automotive industry.

RC-Film Co. Ltd. is specialized in the production of high-quality CPP films with latest-generation technologies and customer-specific recipes for the retort CPP, medical CPP, and pharma CPP markets. The modern production facility spans 11,000 m2. It accommodates Asia‘s first Colines Polycast system, a highly advanced, state-ofthe-art CPP production line. A capacity expansion with a second line is possible and planned: it will boost output to as much as 14,000 tonnes per year. In April 2015, the first CPP films were produced, with an initial annual capacity of 7000 tonnes.

The modern production facility is located in a new industrial zone about 2 hours by road outside of Bangkok. It has a floor area of 11,000 m2.

Division Flexible Packaging Success through performance Modern polymer technology is a never-ending story. At first sight, everything revolves around moulds and plastic parts – but ultimately, the focus is on one thing: your success. And exactly that is the objective of Michel Werkzeugbau AG. For over fifty years, the company has been a competent partner for mould-making and polymer technology.

Michel Werkzeugbau AG develops, designs, and produces tooling and injection moulds as well as technically advanced precision polymer parts. The company’s in-house injection department validates its own tooling and scales up mould production.

Stickerella produces top-quality personalised name stickers and iron-on labels. As an established player in the domain of online sticker products, Stickerella distributes unique, individually designable name stickers via www.stickerella.ch. The Stickerella product line ranges from universal stickers as well as shoe and clothing stickers to iron-on stickers that can be applied to T-shirts, jackets, socks, and trousers, etc. Label everything you love so nothing can be lost again. Stickerella also offers customised solutions for businesses, such as labels for wine bottles and various applications for exclusive company events, including decorative and name stickers with logos.

Elco looks back on a long and eventful past. On 1 January 1952, Heinrich Wipf incorporated the Seetal AG envelope factory. In 2011, Seetal Elco AG changed its name to Elco AG.

Apart from conventional paper films, the standard range also includes water-repellent films or special films for added abrasion and water resistance. The films are designed for indoor and outdoor applications.

Established in 2002, Flyerline Schweiz AG is one of Switzerland‘s largest online printing houses. It employs about 60 persons. The products are developed and produced at the company‘s headquarters in Altnau.

Christinger+Partner AG has been implementing visual communication projects since 1965. The company is the only large-sized digital printing company in Switzerland and is headquartered in Brugg.
