Women’s Specialty Clinics Women’s Ski Clinics, offered on Sundays from mid-January through late February, are geared for women who want to improve their skiing skills, taught by Wintergreen’s PSIA instructors. The lesson is focused solely on child instruction with an introduction on how to continue teaching your child (not a lesson for teaching a parent and a child). Open to children who can ski/ride Potato Patch. Mom, Dad or both can accompany their child.

Ridgely’s Riders (Ages 8-12, snowboarding only) Snowboard lessons! Available for full-day sessions on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays only. Family Fun Tubing at The Plunge The Plunge – Virginia’s largest tubing park – is a 900- foot, mega-snowtubing hill for people 42 inches and taller.

Tubers can reach thrilling speeds of 25 to 40 MPH with a vertical drop of 100 feet. Sessions frequently sell out, so please purchase your tickets online before you arrive.

Ridgely’s Fun Park Families with small children ages three and up will find all the excitement they need at Ridgely’s Fun Park, located at Discovery Ridge. Open on winter weekends and select holidays, this park offers a gentle tubing hill, snow forts, and bear paw snowshoes. Children 11 and under must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Sessions start on the hour. Ridgely’s Fun Park frequently sells out, so purchase your tickets early!

Aquatics & Fitness Center

The Aquatics & Fitness Center, adjacent to The Spa, features an indoor pool, outdoor pool (seasonal), outdoor hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, a well-equipped exercise center, locker rooms and experienced staff. The Fitness Center recently had a major renovation which increased the floor plan, added new equipment and a stunning wall of windows with improved views and light. The Fitness Center is limited to guests ages 16 and older. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older when visiting the Aquatics Center. The Aquatics & Fitness Center is exclusive to registered Wintergreen Resort guests, Wintergreen Members and guests of Members.

Ski & Tee

It’s for the sports enthusiast who loves to do it all! Just take your same-day lift ticket down to the Stoney Creek Golf Course and you can hit the links with the same gusto you did on the slopes. Cart is not included but required for play.

Hiking

The winter season at Wintergreen offers a unique perspective on the Blue Ridge Mountains. With the falling of the leaves, the panoramas have opened up and when the snow falls you get a clear outline of ridgelines. Visit the Nature Center for maps and trail suggestions.
