Our Logo

Logo Usage Our logo is the face of Monarey Winery — the primary visual expression that we use to identify ourselves meaning that it’s incredibly important to use it correctly and consistently. The Monarey Winery Logo is the combination of the symbol and the wordmark. These two elements, the butterfly which we call our symbol, and the words “Monarey Winery” which we call our logotype.

Our Logo

Clear Space The dottled lines around the logo define the minimum space that must be left between the logo and any other graphic elements such as text, illustrations, and borders. This is to ensure the logo retains a strong presence wherever it appears, as well as ensures other elements don’t interfere with the logo.

Our Logo

Icon The butterfly symbol is considered our icon and is meant to be used as an additional/alternative asset. The icon should not be used as a primary mark. It could be used in the event of having to be placed on smaller items, or when the logo will be appearing much smaller.

A

Logo on Backgrounds To ensure the Monarey logo can be used on most backgrounds, we have developed three color options — color, reversed, and black — for all our logos. While the color versions are preferred and should be used whenever possible, when the logo’s legibility is impaired, the black or reversed options are acceptable to use instead. It’s important to choose the most appropriate option for its intended use.

B

A. Color Color logos work best on simple or light backgrounds. B. Reversed (White) The reversed logos work best on dark backgrounds and photographs, but they also work well on mid-toned backgrounds. C. Black Black logos work best on light backgrounds and photographs, but they also work well on mid-toned backgrounds.

Colors

Color Palette Colors are as important to our brand as the logos themselves. Color helps set the tone for our visual identity. It’s important to use these exact colors, not a variation of them when implementing brand elements.
