Intersect Aspen

July 29th - August 3rd, 2025

Winston Wächter Fine Art is pleased to be participating in Intersect Aspen 2025. Our booth will be featuring a selection of works by our represented artists, showcasing the variety of mediums and practices used to portray environmental complexities in the age of the Anthropocene. Visit us at Booth B3!

Ethan Murrow‘s graphite drawings and acrylic paintings explore historical narratives and the uncomfortable ways in which they are told and molded into powerful, absurd and subjective tales. Our booth will also feature a series of fine art prints that Murrow produced in collaboration with D.S Fine Art Editions.

Matt Gagnon‘s iconic Light Stacks will also be on view. Debuting his newest sculptures, Gagnon’s Light Stacks are an exploration of the artist’s fascination with light and how materials and surroundings can transform it’s quality and physical presence. His totemic works incorporate oak, pine, concrete, brass, polished aluminum and painted MDF.

Robert Wilson’s video installation of an owl embodies the quiet wisdom and subtle movements that the animal makes. Wilson’s Snowy Owl will be displayed in Aspen in tandem with our New York City exhibition, Animals, which showcases Wilson’s video portrait series and the artist’s acclaimed mastery of light and color that reflect his fascination with animals.

Heather Hutchison’s three dimensional paintings utilize color and shadow to evoke landscapes and weather patterns. Being a keen observer of nature and finding inspiration in the human emotional experience, Hutchison’s work has always sought movement as a priority. This practice is emphasized in her most recent works that will be on view, with each light box referencing natural phenomena such as a flowing river or moon illuminated above a rolling tide.

Jil Weinstock uses photography, fabric, and nostalgic items from her past to explore memory and the resilience of the natural world. With these components encased in rubber to preserve the work, Weinstock transforms everyday items into unconventional collages, binding together objects and the memories they elicit. Lastly, Tracy Rocca will be debuting new work that continues her practice of slowly building up intricate layers of natural pigments taken directly from the earth. From this process, Rocca achieves a characteristic luminosity and dream like sense of depth in these etherial works.
