About Expanded Technologies Floor, Furniture and Surface Protectors for all Environments The First Peel and Stick Heavy Duty Felt Pads Over 30 years ago Richard Bushey was remodeling a turn of the century schoolhouse with original pine floors when he realized that the scrapes and scratches on the floors were caused by the constant movement of chairs and desks. His solution? The first peel and stick heavy duty felt pad to place under furniture legs. They protect floors from scratches, gouges and dents and can help reduce the movement stress on furniture joints when furniture moves with difficulty.

Expanding Product Line Richard Bushey began manufacturing felt pads in 1981, and Expanded Technologies was founded in 1987. Bushey has continued to invent

ingenious ways to protect floors and furniture and today the company offers a variety of products. He still holds many related patents for surface protection products, and the company is one of the top three in the U.S. for this category.

Outperform the Competition The felt and adhesive materials used in Expanded Technologies' products were tested against the products from the leading competitors. In every category the materials used by Expanded Technologies performed significantly better. The results are shown in the table.

Adhesion Tests (Test #101 – Tensile Test and Test #102 – Shear Strength) By testing the adhesion of the heavy duty felt pad, it can be assessed how likely the pad is to stick to the furniture leg.

The pad must adhere to the furniture leg in order to provide benefits. The tests determine how well a pad can withstand the forces of pull and shear caused by furniture sliding.

Density Tests (Test #201 – Porosity Measurement and Test #202 – Compression Measurement) By measuring the porosity of the heavy duty felt pad, the usable space for dirt particles to collect can be measured. There must

Pliability Tests (Test #301 – Pliability Measurement) By measuring the pliability of the heavy duty felt pad, the ability of the pad to adapt to the shape of the furniture leg can be determined. The felt pad must cover the bottom of the furniture leg to afford maximum protection and ensure that the pad stays attached to the leg.

Durability Tests (Taber Test) By measuring the durability of a felt pad, its longevity can be estimated, based on the extent of the wear caused by pressure and friction applied to the pad. The Taber Test is used to correlate felt loss from furniture moving. There is pressure and friction applied against the pad as furniture is moved.

The Slip-Over™ consists of a reinforced felt bottom and a vinyl sleevelet that encases the existing chair or table glide. Safety Release™ Flip Down Doorstop On the Door, Off the Floor Our modern Flip Down Doorstops combine versatility, functionality and durability for the ultimate doorstop. Easy to install, the clip automatically adjusts to fit residential or commercial doors, and the swing arm is adjustable to fit floor clearances greater then 1/4" and less than 21/2". Once installed, simply flip the arm down to engage and lift to disengage. Our Flip Down Doorstops will not damage either the door or floor. In case of an emergency, the arm will release when sufficient force is applied to the door.

Once they're installed, these doorstops stay put!

How to Install Slide clip onto the bottom of the door. Requires ¼" clearance between door and floor.

Locate the proper hole setting. Arm should be set at approximately 60° to 80° when in the down position.

Spread swing arm in the upright position (swing arm only adjusts in the upright position).

Insert hinge pins into the proper holes.

Use hand or foot to engage or disengage.

Swing arm can be reversed if desired.

Our terms for approved customers are Net 30 days. We welcome your company check, Visa or MasterCard. We charge $25 for each returned check. Recurrent bounced checks will result in instituting terms of C.O.D. cash.

Initial Orders

New retailers must provide a certificate of Retail Tax Exemption and company ownership information. To open an account, please fill out a Credit Application. Initial orders can be placed by credit card until your account is established.

Returns

Each order is carefully picked, packed, and delivered to arrive in excellent condition. If you find a problem with your order, because it is incorrect, damaged, or defective, you must receive a return authorization number before returning any portion. Please call your Expanded Technologies representative to explain the problem. It is helpful to have your invoice number showing when you purchased the item(s). You must include the completed Expanded Technologies Return Form when you send us your returned merchandise.

All merchandise must be returned in sellable condition and will be inspected before credit is issued. A credit will not be issued for damaged merchandise. A 10% restocking fee is charged for all returned merchandise.

Expanded Technologies does not guarantee sale of any product.

Overages/Shortages

Expanded Technologies tries to ensure all orders are shipped complete. However, orders should be received and verified by your employees. If you discover a merchandise overage or shortage, please notify us within one working day.
