Thank you for your continued support of the Community House. Unlike a tax-supported park district or library, the independent, non-profit Community House is unique – literally supported by the members of the very community it serves. Every activity, performance, and gathering that takes place in the House – from the Fitness Center to Matz Hall to the gymnasium, from our beautiful multi-purpose rooms to our historic garden – is made possible by donations from community members who sustain this vital organization’s mission.

The Junior Board brought holiday magic and the opportunity to see Santa to 128 cars full of children at its festive, outdoor Winter Wanderland event, and cleaned over 65 vehicles in a splashtastic spring car wash – learning about volunteerism and philanthropy along the way.

We expanded opportunities for youth sports by setting up temporary basketball courts in our parking lot in the fall and holding our winter Youth Basketball League in Matz Hall with portable basketball hoops. Thanks to the fabulous lights and sound available in Matz Hall, 173 young players (and their families who watched via Zoom) enjoyed an electric atmosphere for their games each weekend!
