The end of a lovely weekend of family time with our little girls! I wanted to write and thank you for getting us on the right track with Delia’s sleeping. Despite having managed to successfully sleep train our rst daughter, we found our second much more of a challenge. We tried the same techniques but they didn’t work (although I think we were not as consistent as we should have been and we had also managed to inadvertently introduce a cocktail of props into the equation)
Before long, desperate to get at least some sleep, we found ourselves down the slippery slope of feeding Delia to sleep and bringing her into our bed and we were just too weary to think our way out of our clearly unsustainable predicament We’d had months of perhaps 5 or 6 hours of broken sleep when we got in touch with you and we were fractious and exhausted all of the time It was no fun for anyone!

Before approaching Judy for help with our Son’s sleeping, my evenings consisted of breast feeding my Son to sleep and carefully ever so carefully laying him in his cot without waking him so I could get half an hour or more to eat dinner and get ready for bed. to take milk On a typical night, she guzzled no less than 2 litres of milk between 7pm and 7am Between the milk bottles and the diaper changes, the night was a buzz of activities and we hardly slept more than three continuous hours
It’s been exactly two weeks since we started working with Judy. We remember how we dreaded the rst night of the programme…. hearing our daughter cry for almost one hour non-stop was heartbreaking but Judy was very supportive and encouraging throughout the programme. The results have been amazing, the baby has been sleeping from 7am to 7pm. We all used to go bed after 11pm, today the house is quiet after 7pm, even the nannies are enjoying their rest after a hard day’s work.

sleep He anywhere, ram or a ace he could happily snooze o was attached to me feeding! This continued for about 6 weeks until we discovered the magic of the dummy! At the time it felt like a lifesaver, Zachary started to sleep on walks, in the car and even in bed!
However, the dummy itself soon became the problem as I found my self-getting out of bed to put the dummy in time and time again during the night.
When Zachary got to about 6 months he was rolling all around his cot in search of the dummy and getting various limbs stuck between bars! By the time I went in to put the dummy in for him he was wide awake and thinking it was play-time!
When he turned 8 months one of my friends recommended Judy to me as her twins had undergone the sleep training with her and they now both slept through the night We were nervous to start the training as it meant completely giving up the dummy (and I still remembered those early days before we started using it!) but it was the best decision we ever made

We used to rock our 4month-old baby to sleep in our arms for hours with a dummy wedged in his mouth and then lower him in his cot really carefully just for him to wake up 35 mins later. I would then breastfeed him back to sleep.
I was doing this 4 to 5 times a night, every night and decided I needed to do something to help all of us! The training worked within a few days and I couldn’t believe it when he slept for 12 hrs from 7pm until 7am!
My husband and I can both put him in his cot awake to go to sleep without a dummy or a feed and he goes to sleep in a few minutes It’s brilliant to have our evenings back and we can go out and leave him with family con dent that he won’t wake up whilst we are out.
He is a much happier baby too. He gets the right amount and good quality sleep during the day and night so that when he is awake he is happy. It was hard to survive the programme as it does require your baby to cry when they are learning how to self-settle themselves back to sleep but it’s really worth it!
