2025 Impact Report
Last year asked a lot of our community. It asked even more from survivors. Behind every service we provided was a person navigating fear, uncertainty, and the courage it takes to seek help. Our role was simple and steady: to be there. Throughout the year, Wings of Hope provided shelter, counseling, advocacy, and supportive services to hundreds of individuals, including many children whose lives have been shaped by violence they did not choose. These numbers matter, but what matters most is what they represent: safety restored, dignity protected, and the beginning of something steadier for survivors and their families. We also expanded how safety looks in practice. In Logan County, we launched a new Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, increasing access to trauma-informed medical care and evidence collection for survivors of sexual assault. We introduced a kennel program so survivors no longer have to choose between their own safety and the safety of their pets. And we began responding to human trafficking in our communities, recognizing that exploitation often intersects with domestic and sexual violence and requires specialized, coordinated support. Alongside these new programs, we continued strengthening the systems around survivors through community partnerships, public awareness efforts, and outreach initiatives like Thrifty Butterfly. In rural areas especially, where resources can be limited, we remained focused on meeting people where they are and closing gaps in support. None of this work happens in isolation. It happens because of people like you who believe that safety should never be out of reach. Your generosity, advocacy, time, and trust allow Wings of Hope to remain a constant in moments when everything else feels uncertain.
