Welcome to Windsor Park Stud’s Rugby, Racing and Beer Sale 2024, powered by Entain.

This is an exciting initiative we started a few years ago to help promote racing ownership and participation in the South Island.

We are delighted to make contributions from the sale proceeds to two very deserving causes -the Rohan Mudhoo Trust and to the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust.

Thanks to everyone supporting this promotion, particularly those people joining us on May 3rd for our luncheon and auction in the Showgate Room, Riccarton Park Racecourse.

ROHAN MUDHOO TRUST

Popular Riccarton Park jockey Rohan Mudhoo is battling serious ill health and is unable to work at his primary source of income, raceday riding. Windsor Park is delighted to donate funds from our sale to help this very worthwhile cause. Activities will also take place on the final day of the Riccarton Park Autumn Racing Season, Saturday 4 May to raise funds to assist Rohan and his wife Praveena at this time.

The ‘Rohan Mudhoo Trust’ has been established to manage the fundraiser. Trustees are Mike McCann (Rohan’s friend and employer), Darin Balcombe (NZ Thoroughbred Racing Chief Operating Officer), Andrew McKerrow (NZTR Industry Welfare), Dianne Logie (Canterbury Jockey Club Chair) and Tim Mills (CJC Chief Executive).

NEW ZEALAND HORSE AMBULANCE TRUST

Windsor Park Stud is also donating funds from the sale to another wonderful cause in the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust, established in 2016 to fund and procure purpose-built equine ambulances for New Zealand horse racing and equestrian events. We can now celebrate the world’s first dedicated national horse ambulance service, following the commissioning of the country’s ninth horse ambulance in March 2022. We believe every horse deserves access to the best potential outcome if injured, and to be treated with respect.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All horses are offered for genuine sale

• All buyers must do their own due diligence prior to bidding

• While there will be X-Ray and scope reports available, it is the responsibility of the bidder to make their own assessment on the horse and its suitability

• All horses are free of financing or any registration upon them

• The leading bid at the fall of the hammer will be winning bid if the price is above the reserve price

• Payments are to be arranged before the bidding commences

• If no prior arrangement is made payment will be due within 15 working days of the sale

• The Auctioneer has full discretion as to whether to accept bids or not; the Auctioneer’s decision is final.

• First auction graduate with the purchase price of $15,000 or over to win a race - the purchaser will receive a $10,000 bonus

• Any yearling sold in excess of $15,000, 2.5% of proceeds will be shared equally between the Rohan Mudhoo Trust and the New Zealand Horse Ambulance Trust
