Grocery Sales Tax Rebate Program Expands to Include Utility Bills
The Town of Windsor’s Grocery & Utility Rebate Program helps income-qualifying residents offset everyday household costs through a single application. Residents who meet program requirements are automatically considered for both the grocery sales tax rebate and the utility rebate.
Eligible applicants must be Windsor residents and meet household income requirements equal to or below 60% of the area median income. Applicants should be prepared to provide a valid photo ID, proof of Windsor residency.
The grocery rebate provides $250 per household. For utility rebates, applicants must be an active Town of Windsor water, sewer, or combined water and sewer customer. Utility rebate amounts vary based on service type.
Applications may be submitted at any time beginning in May through the end of the year, with rebate payments issued during scheduled payment windows. To receive a payment in July, applications must be submitted by June 30.
Windsor Continues Mosquito Mitigation Partnership for Summer Season
The Town of Windsor is once again partnering with Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) this summer to support mosquito mitigation efforts throughout the community. The program includes weekly mosquito trapping, larvicide treatments, field inspections and targeted spraying when mosquito populations reach established thresholds. Windsor operates monitoring traps across town to help guide data-driven treatment decisions and reduce the risk of West Nile Virus transmission. Residents are encouraged to eliminate standing water around their homes and fight the bite.
Bring your dog and enjoy a fun, social time at Pooches in the Park. This community gathering offers space for pets to play and neighbors to connect in a welcoming outdoor setting. There will also be demonstrations and donation opportunities for the Noco Humane Society.
