WELCOME TO THE NEW WINDSOR COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTER

In 2014, Windsor voters approved the construction of a 40,000square-foot expansion to the current Recreation Center. The $16.1 million-dollar expansion includes extensive improvements to the gymnasium and fitness rooms, and the addition of an indoor aquatic facility, as well as a variety of other rooms and amenities.

FEATURING NEW POOLS

A brand new indoor aquatic facility serves as the expansion’s centerpiece, featuring three lap lanes, a zero-depth entry pool with play feature, a lazy river, water slide, and a 23-person hot tub!

NEW FITNESS FACILITIES

A new auxillary gym with an elevated walking and jogging track connects the 16,000 square-foot renovated space. Take advantage of our state-of-the-art fitness rooms on the first and second floors, featuring Cybex cardiovascular and weight equipment. See Page 6

AQUATICS LAP POOL Three Lap Lanes, reserved for adult lap swimmers from 5 - 10 a.m. Monday through Friday.

ACTIVITY POOL Includes play features such as a rain cloud and zero-depth entry. Open at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, open all day on weekends.

LAZY RIVER Float with the current, or work against it for increased resistance. See Page 5 for hours.

SLIDE Slide outside and back inside the CRC with a smooth landing. Open at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, open all day on weekends.

HOT TUB 23-person hot tub, Adults only from 5 - 10 a.m. Monday through Friday.

LOCKER ROOMS

Aqua Walk Participants will enjoy a no-impact, low-gravity cardio walk utilizing the water current and a variety of water equipment for additional cardiovascular resistance.

For the first time in Windsor history, you can now enjoy an indoor pool year-round!

Aqua Pump Increase heart and lung activity using equipment such as noodles and dumbbells to increase resistance. Formats such as dancing and kickboxing are used to keep class interesting. All experience levels welcome.

Call the CRC to purchase your first package, ranging from three to eight lessons at a time. If a waitlist exists, you will go to the end of the waitlist once you are done with your purchased lessons. This ensures everyone has equal opportunity to receive private swim lessons.

GROUP SWIM LESSONS

Group Swim Lessons will begin January 2017 with sessions available either Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Eight sessions will be held from January through May, with each session comprised of eight lessons. Registration will begin in December 2016.

FITNESS Our 3,500-square-foot fitness center features Cybex treadmills and cardiovascular equipment, as well as the Cybex Eagle line of selectorized weight machines and free weights.

The Wellness Center includes 8 treadmills, 12 Cybex equipment stations, and much more.

Take in amazing mountain views as you work out to any of our five Broadcast Vision TVs, which you can listen to from your smart phone!

STARTING OCTOBER 10

Body Pump Body Pump is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all major muscle groups using squats, presses, lifts and curls.

Cycle The outdoor cycling experience brought indoors! Driving music will keep you energized through a variety of hill climbs, flat terrains, interval training, and sprints.

Revive This class will encourage physical fitness with low-intensity Fitness classes include a variety of aerobic, strength training, and yoga exercises.

The Child Care Center is a positive and fun environment for children to enjoy while parents are participating in activities at the Windsor Community Recreation Center! Reservations are not accepted, however, it is highly recommended to call the CRC (970-674-3500) beforehand to ensure the maximum has not been reached. Our staff has a maximum of eight children at one time, so please understand during peak hours there is a possibility the area will be full.

F.A.Q. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is included in my membership?

All pool amenities, running track, locker rooms, designated open gym, use of wellness center cardio and weight equipment, and 31+ aerobics classes.

How many laps make a mile on the running track?

One mile equals 12 laps around the running track.

What is included in the pool area?

Three lap lanes, zero-entry pool with play feature, a lazy river, water slide, and a 23-person hot tub.

How many additional youths may be added to a family membership?

Two added members for a maximum of six members per household, two adults maximum and four youth.

When will Silver Sneakers begin?

Silver Sneakers will hopefully be approved by November 1, and any current member who changes to Silver Sneakers will be able to switch over without penalty.

On what day of the month will our monthly bill be charged?

The fifth day of every month.

Will you prorate my membership because the CRC is closed for 11 days of the year?

No, holidays and one shutdown week are built into the cost of your membership.

Why are you closed for a week?

Yearly maintenance that requires deep cleaning. Pool and other maintenance that cannot be performed while the building is open.

How old can a child be to swim without an adult?

Children 6 and under must be accompanied by a guardian 16 years or older and within arms reach of the child at all times. Children 9 years and under must be directly supervised by a guardian 16 years or older.

What age qualifies for the Senior Rate?

62.

Is there a discount for childcare for members?

No, it costs $3 per child per hour regardless of membership.
