Our 2022 Highlights

• We welcomed a change in leadership in September when Ian Moreton took over the reins as headteacher at the school. Mr Moreton was previously a headteacher at our sister school, Great Wyrley Academy in South Staffordshire (pic 1)

• Students participated in the Dudley Commonwealth Games Festival at Stourbridge RFC. They took part in tennis, athletics, rugby, archery, Tai Chi, circus skills and many more (pic 2) the end of the summer term. This year, students enjoyed an array of activities and trips to help them discover their passions and unlock their personal potential:

• Kingswinford FC arrived for their pre-season training at St George’s Park. They had a very exciting few days using the facilities of our English national teams

• The students had an incredible three days exploring London. They enjoyed a Thames river cruise, museums, and Back to the Future at the theatre. They beat the heat using spray bottles, which the teachers gladly helped disperse over the students!

Acclaimed street artist, Void On, came to work with our art ambassadors and KS4 artists to totally transform the Drama Studio wall, with ideas submitted by our students featuring in the final design (pics 3 & 4) This year 57 students took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
