At WindRiver Members thrive on staying active and social, offering community activities and many Member-lead activities. There’s something for everyone.

WindRiver Pool & Sports Court Something is always happening year-round at the WindRiver Club Pool and Sports Courts. 2023 has been the most active and vibrant ever! Increased Pickleball play is a testament to its popularity. Additional pickleball play times have been added to accommodate the growing interest, and more dedicated court times are being planned. The well-attended Water Aerobics and extended Fitness Classes on the Pool Deck show that the community is committed to staying active and healthy. Bocce remains a consistent and member-led activity at WindRiver. The availability of bocce ball sets for member use through Member Services at the Manor adds to the community’s recreational options. It’s clear that WindRiver offers a wide range of activities for its members to enjoy and stay engaged throughout the year. 2023 Community Garden Growing Season The expanded garden at WindRiver has been a hit with members, leading to increased activity and participation. A June Garden Social brought together many Members, both those involved at the Garden and those wanting to be part of the Garden excitement. Being a Community Gardener is a fantastic way for members to connect, share and learn more about gardening, and bond over the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor. It’s also exciting to hear that members are growing a variety of delicious items. It’s clear that WindRiver’s expanded garden has become a source of pride and enjoyment for the community. Here’s to more successful social events and bountiful harvests in the garden.

WATeR Initiative Presentation A recent presentation for WATeR, a non-profit organization dedicated to monitoring the water quality of Tellico Lake, maintaining the East Lakeshore Trail, and organizing area clean-up efforts was hosted at Citico’s Lounge on October 5th. The presentation featuring David Flanagan, WATeR President, and Jim Wisneski, Board Member and Chair of the Water Quality Committee, was a great way to engage WindRiver members in this important cause. WindRiver has a strong community of individuals dedicated to WATeR, including Ellen Papera, Marilyn Dixon, Tom Quick, Jon Neal, David Barnes, Jim Whaley, and many others.
