The DEERING ESTATE AT MIA , organized by Dr. Liliam Dominguez, Historic Preservation and Head Curator at Deering Estate, is a collaboration with Miami International Airport's MIA Galleries and the Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program at Deering Estate. This screening program features a series of short films highlighting past and present Deering Estate AIRs, produced by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and Director of Photography Jorge Gonzalez Graupera.

The Deering Estate is a 21st-century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and historic landmark located in southern Miami-Dade County. Its Artist-in-Residence Program supports professional artists across various disciplines by providing them with space and resources to pursue innovative projects and studio work. The program fosters connections among other artists and engagement with the public while interacting with the Estate's historical, cultural, intellectual, natural, and built environments.

Filmmaker and fellow Artist-in-Residence Jorge Gonzalez Graupera captures these stories through an ongoing short film series that highlights the Estate's resident artists, their creative processes, inspiration, and influences, while also celebrating their contributions and the impact of residency on their work.
