Hello, I am Katherine. I live in Pakipaki on a little hill in the New Zealand countryside, with my family and our cat, Rosie, who is scared of everything except bulls. For as long as I can remember I have loved drawing and making things. I was lucky to grow up with parents who said I could do whatever I wanted as long as I cleaned up when I was finished.

I am so excited to be joining the Windham Fabrics family.

My illustrations include a variety of themes, but I love drawing animals. My whales were a very popular illustration that received a lot of attention. Windham asked me to create a collection for them using the whales as the main focus. I hope you enjoy Whale Tales as my first collection.

It also inspired me to create an elegant and classic floral collection called, Spellbound. I designed this collection as an homage to an old-fashioned expression of love, when women received roses, forget-me-nots and handwritten notes from their loved ones.� ~ Katia Hoffman
