Carers will literally 'walk with' patients through a series of activities where features of rehabilitation are integrated into the games This aims at providing the urban elderly living at home with appropriate care, and assisting them in re-integrating into the society as well In the long run,

P for Play & Physiotherapy

also helps decrease patients' waiting time in the public healthcare sector, preventing a delay in their receiving treatment. This programme will also provide service users with a chance to establish a support system/network in their rehabilitation -- through receiving training from professionals, patients will be given guidance on exercising, whilst carers will be provided assistance on their caretaking duties.

Be Our Good Neighbourhood Project

Through connecting with and providing training to different corporates in the community to become a ‘Good Neighbor corporate’, we aim to uncover some hidden elderly members and disabled persons in the community. In a concerted effort, activities like Chinese Medical Practitioner talks, giving out ‘Free Nutritious Meals Made With Love’ to the needy, as well as ‘Getting A Taste of Exercise Day’ will be carried out in hopes of providing support to needy members of our society, such as the elderly living alone, elderly couples, hidden elderly members and ex-convicts etc. Last but not least, in order to offer our thanks to the Good Neighbor Corporates’ care and love towards the elderly, volunteers will deliver certificates of appreciation and souvenirs to the corporates we cooperated with.

As long as everyone contributes a little bit, everyone can be a ‘Good Neighbor’ who cares for our society.

Amid the pandemic of COVID-19, families have had to undergo numerous changes to their way of life, increasing the tension between parent-child relationships -- under this, a mutual space for interactions and communications is essential in relaxing one’s body and mind in order to foster a harmonious relationship.

will conduct artistic activities and the newest trending sports for parents and children for the relaxation of one’s body and mind together. Through the above, parents and children will be able to enhance their communications and interactions with each other in the process of the activities, as well as learn to show support for and encourage one another, alleviating the stresses they face in their relationships

The Amazing Seeds in Elderly H mes

Private residential homes’ environment are often cramped and closed up, which undermines elderly members’ physical and mental well being. Even if elderly members in residential homes are able to walk around freely, their chances of outings are still limited -- coupled with how residential homes follow a strict wake-and-rest schedule on a daily basis, elderly members may even lose their sense of autonomy over their lives

Volunteer Development Project

With more opportunities to get in touch with the minorities in our society, we will be able to remove the negative labels our society has affixed to them, and build a harmonious and loving community

Non-Chinese children and teenagers’ social circles are rather disconnected from the Chinese community, resulting in misunderstandings between the two.

HennaBeauty

has been actively establishing a bonding between the Chinese and non-Chinese community Service users have been able to widen their exposure through drawing Henna artwork, carrying out cultural workshops and markets etc

Elderly Script Writing and Reader ’ s Theatre

Given how the COVID19 pandemic has resulted in a halt in face-to-face activities, elderly members in the community have also come to find their pacing in their daily lives messy Through creating a drama and play script, we hope to encourage elderly members to express and record feelings they experience under the pandemic, as well as act it out themselves, and share it with people in our community

18

The play and drama allow elderly members to record the effects and impacts the pandemic has had on themselves, those around them, and society. It brings us into the inner world of our elderly members, helping us better understand them, as well as shortening the distance between them and us.
