I am thankful for cheer and the ability, at times, to cheer those around me. I am thankful for every moment I find myself surrounded by friends. I am thankful for exuberant passion. I am thankful for memory - with its fictitious glow around the edges. I am thankful for songs that comfort and transport and save. I am thankful for well fought battles and hard won victories. I am thankful for random acts of kindness. I am thankful for books that enthrall. I am thankful for films that captivate. I am thankful for awkward, touching moments. I am thankful for bravery and courage. I am thankful that we can help each other become our best selves. I am thankful for unexpected experiences, and surprising occurrences. I am thankful for moments of solitude and for space in which to unravel everything. I am thankful for rage and grace. I am thankful for patience and anticipation and excitement that can barely be contained.
I am thankful for ordinary days. I am thankful for art that mesmerizes and compels. I am thankful for the unplanned and serendipitous. I am thankful for hysterical laughter that makes our eyes water and our sides ache. I am thankful for opportunities to be of real use. I am thankful for the privilege to fight for something that is good and right. I am thankful for endless curiosity. I am thankful for unconditional love. I am thankful for mystery. I am thankful for beliefs and freedom. I am thankful for responsibility and consequences. I am thankful for forgiveness and relief. I am thankful for loyalty and trust. I am thankful for chances to make it right. I am thankful for renewal.
I am thankful for humility and pride. I am thankful for heartbreaking works of staggering genius. I am thankful for the hunger for reality. I am thankful for moments of breathtaking clarity. I am thankful for the resilience of truth. I am thankful for wonders and adventures, no matter how small. I am thankful for unflinching honesty. I am thankful for fleeting ecstasy, bits of rapture. I am thankful for opportunities to be creative and to learn. I am thankful for all that’s lost and found again. I am thankful for infinite possibility. I am thankful for bright tomorrows. I am thankful for illuminating experiences. I am thankful for meaning, whenever, wherever it may be found. I am thankful for transformation and growth. I am thankful for cooperation and collaboration and opportunities to band together.
I am thankful for the unexplainable. I am thankful for good stories, told with care. I am thankful for comforting recollections. I am thankful for the just and all the justice that’s managed to survive. I am thankful for instances of unbounded imagination. I am thankful for unassailable optimism and hope. I am thankful for the ability to change. I am thankful that some things change and some stay the same. I am thankful for the genuine and the sincere. I am thankful for unpredictability and unknowability. I am thankful for color and pattern and texture. I am thankful for opportunities to be involved. I am thankful for exhilaration and delight. I am thankful for overwhelming emotions. I am thankful for life’s endless variety. I am thankful for the past and the future.
I am thankful for the ability to sense another’s pain, and the opportunity to try to ease it. I am thankful for inspiration and motivation. I am thankful for sound and melody and harmony. I am thankful for mathematics and the laws of the universe. I am thankful for discovery. I am thankful for revision and alteration. I am thankful for those who want to know me, and take the time to. I am thankful for the ability to object to what I believe is wrong, or unjust and the ability to stand up for what I believe is right. I am thankful for shared experiences, and sharing in general. I am thankful for the ability ,and sometimes inability, to dictate my mood. I am thankful for messiness and subjectivity. I am thankful for opportunities to be swept up. I am thankful for the desire and ambition to do good and meaningful things in life. I am thankful for a healthy dose of skepticism. I am thankful for a healthy dose of belief in the supernatural.
I am thankful for moderation and at times, indulgence. I am thankful for the ability, sometimes, to start over. I an thankful for those who strive to do good. I am thankful for individuality and difference. I am thankful for the ability to let things go, sometimes. I am thankful for the ability to forgive and forget. I am thankful for chance encounters. I am thankful for common causes. I am thankful for the unconventional. I am thankful for shared burdens and collective efforts. I am thankful for warm embraces. I am thankful for grief and longing. I am thankful for innovation and playfulness. I am thankful that tragedy can be overcome. I am thankful for comedy in the face of fear and uncertainty. I am thankful for the elegance of the universe.
I am thankful that what we do matters. I am thankful for technology and our ability to solve problems, I am thankful for the ability to make my own decisions. I am thankful for opportunities to wander and get lost. I am thankful for encouragement and the fact that we can have faith in each other. I am thankful for mistakes and what we can learn from them. I am thankful for those who stand up for others. I am thankful for the bonds we’ve formed. I am thankful for the opportunity to work hard. I am thankful for those who take responsibility for themselves. I am thankful for the chance to make things. I am thankful for good listeners and the opportunities to be do my best to be a good listener for others. I am thankful that people I care about know they can confide in me. I am thankful for those who believe in me. I am thankful for advice, given freely and with the best intentions.
I am thankful for the ability to take risks that are worth taking. I am thankful for those who risk everything for the good of all. I am thankful that good will always defeat evil, in the end. I am thankful for the fear that makes us know we are alive. I am thankful for thankfulness and gratitude.
