Student Life

"The 2015-2016 school year opened with the dedication of new and renovated facilities. On the middle/upper school campus, the net zero GLC (started in June 2014) was ready by opening day, along with the Ira T. Ellis, Jr. 52 Design Lab, the newly renovated Library Learning Commons, third floor classrooms, and the middle school Flex and Design Labs. The early years wing at lower school also got a makeover during the summer of 2015, completed by the opening of school, including the new open studio." Tracey Quillen-Carney

Left: Miller and Szumel have a pillow fight on the stairs in the new library. Many students usually sit on these stairs to do homework and study.

Above: Mark Schmittle is appalled by Szumel's lack of chemistry knowledge as she writes equations on the board in one of the new "ice cube" study spaces.

Right: Miller and Szumel play with more tools - this time in the Middle School Design lab, which used to be the Middle School computer lab. Below: Miller is "floored" by the awesome new Global Learning Center wing. Szumel can easily exit the building to the beautiful spaces outside, which is near the Jones House porch.
