Julia Balfour is a Toronto-based abstract artist. The forms found in her paintings are a trace of her experiences, deeply influenced by colour. Her abstract works reflect her view on the importance of colour in its most elegant and purest form. She uses watercolour to develop layers and relies on colour to construct its own shape and find its place within a composition.

In addition to Toronto galleries, Julia’s original work has been featured in numerous public collections, including installations at the Lighthouse Tower and Park Hyatt Toronto.
