To Boot or Not to Boot? That Tis’ the Fashion Question!

At Salon Sora in Boca Raton we take care of you head to toe‌ let's talk boots today.

When you live in a place like Southern Florida and especially in Boca Raton, you are apt to keeping up with the latest trends and fashions. Salon Sora is always ‘in the know’ when it comes to what’s hot and what’s not. We do this by our relentless minions that give us a non-stop stream of information on who is wearing what. We have an inside scoop in this week’s blog about wearing boots in So Flo!

Many of us have migrated here from other parts of the world. So many of our neighbors grew up in colder environments and over these few cold weeks, it’s felt like we’re revisiting those climates. The cold makes many people dress… well, differently in Florida. Some people who may have ‘these’ items tucked away behind the hundreds of flip-flops or may have been thrown away packing are now buying and pulling out these well needed items. We’re talking about BOOTS!!!

Even though we live in So-Flo we’re still apt to buying a good pair of boots. No matter where you drive you can see that boots are still just as hot as they are in the North or Midwest areas. Even the latest trends that are rolling around the beaches include at least the anklet style boots and on cold days I’ve seen many women sporting Ughs. The question is, is it fashionable in Florida to wear boots? Of course it is and here are a few reasons why!

Think rain! There’s nothing more fashion forward on a rainy day when you’re flashing a spectacular pair of rain boots with skinny jeans or casual pants tucked inside. There’s such a terrific variety of styling rain boots from Nordstrom’s to Macy’s there’s a pair for everyone. On our rainy days, these are a ‘must have’ everyone needs in the Florida, so by all means flash your rain boots please! Anklet’s and Booties were a huge comeback since a decade ago. One great way to wear the anklets is with a short, boho flowing dress. If the weather is too cold, a cool accessory that will keep your legs warm is thigh high stockings. This is a sweet look that you’ll see many of the beachside fashionistas are showing off. Male fashion continues to sport this style of bootie as well. Men’s straight legs, V-neck T-shirt and booties seem to be creeping into men’s fashion almost giving a European resemblance. Knee high and riding boots are still strong and some even look fresh when paired with shorts. Super sexy, still shows off your tan and can be that fun winter waterside look you’ve been waiting for.

The strappy, roman and sandal boots are making a sweep into the “I’m too Sexy” world. We give this style two thumbs because there’s a plethora of styles, finishes and we’re also considering the functional. They keep your legs warm, hide flaws, comfort, and look sizzling on most any legs. These are also ideal for the hot weather temperatures found in Palm Beach County. Try a pair of these kicks on and you’ll be hooked to say the least you’ll be cutting edge, spectacular wearing a pair of these with shorts, dresses and skirts. Read the warning label because they are highly lethal! It comes to a matter of preference what style you like and of course it depends on the outfit, mood etc. that’ll help you decide. The truth is, this is only seasonal so say YES to booting it! It’s well worth the month or two that we can wear this fashion so why not take advantage now. Let’s take care of you from head to toe, make an appointment for Salon Sora in South Florida.
