First, let’s discuss simplicity in a design. A logo doesn’t have to be a wild party. The simplicity may come from the text or font changing color from black to color or it could be your company’s initials jumping in from side to side. Whatever the design case may be, ask yourself, who will see this? What impact will it have? What is the message I want them to get from seeing the logo?

Your logo's message should clearly describe or represent the type of business you’re involved with. This should be targeted to your client or the type of customer you’re trying to adhere. For example, if you’re a cutting edge research and development company, you will want a logo that clearly shows your innovative side. Having a clear discussion or maybe several, with your designer is key to getting the most appropriate final product.

Working with your designer side by side is necessary to get a product you’re happy with. Give them a clear vision of what you want and write it down. Show them examples of what you like and don’t like. You can find several great ideas in places like Pinterest that is a great tool for those in visual communication. Consider where this logo will be used. Will you use it for promotional material versus company use only? Will it be in the Intro and Outro’s of your video productions? Is it going to be the first thing people see when visiting your website? Where the logo will be used is just as important about how it looks. Remember that this will become one of your company’s assets and must be handled with fortitude. DMAC DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS COLLEGE

Everyone assumes that a logo is a fast and easy design. Everyone except the people who are making it. This is an art form and needs to be handled as such. Color, typography, motion and effects are all things that take a great deal of time, effort and skill. Expect that you will go through some edits. This is a normal part of the process. No designer gets it right the first time. Be patient and give feedback. Designers need to hear from you and what your thoughts are so they can make the appropriate changes. Don’t expect your designer to put something together in a few hours. The process can be painstaking at times to get it just right. When working with things like particles moving in the frame or an explosion of some sort, these are very hard to manipulate and can take hours or sometimes days to get it just right. Give the designer your time frame but then be patient with them.

By having the right logo, move the way you want and representing the company in its best light is not only a great way to get attention, it’s memorable and will last for a long time to come. Opting in for a Motion Logo rather than a stagnant one, is always more advanced and will give your company an interesting twist whether seen by employees or the masses.
