Seowon University • Academic achievement are necessary to succeed in life. But, so too is the need for physical exercise.

• As children grow older, they push more boundaries. After school hours are actually the most likely time of day that children choose to engage in risky or dangerous behaviors.

• This is especially dangerous for older “latchkey kids”, left home alone or with siblings between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

• These hours are the most likely for kids to get into trouble, including experimenting drugs or alcohol.

What makes Seowon University Different?

Breaking Down Barriers Seowon University has created an after-school program to meet the needs of today’s youth, and provides a diversion from potential problems today’s youth may be confronted with.

We have developed a Scholarship Program which pays tuition, uniforms, supplies and tuition for youth training.

Why the Martial Arts?

• There are said to be more than 30 million Taekwondo practitioners in the world today, spanning more than 156 countries. That doesn’t take into account Hapkido, Gumdo, Kung Fu and a variety of other martial arts.

Success through Positive Choices I tell my students; “If you an do one thing, you can do anything.” That mantra applies to all things. Including staying in school; and, making the right choices.

• That is why we are called; Seowon University: Equating knowledge with success. Whether in school, or in life.

• It is also why we check report cards, and provide staff teachers in education as Mentors.

Our students come from all over the world. Especially when they learn that their skills can earn them major University scholarships.

• By assisting them at school and in martial arts training, we can help them achieve the leadership skills necessary to tackle any real-world problem.

• By alleviating parents concerns for youth “alone” time, we also permit the parent to be more productive in their financial pursuit to provide for their family.

The Cost of Training One Child Students receive an initial 6 month enrollment period agreement, or scholarship (based on family finances).

The cost of tuition, uniform, safety equipment and related supplies is:

*Students must maintain good grades in school, and progress in the martial arts for their scholarship to continue.
