Jimmy’s Fries & Shakes founder Jimmy Britz knows the quick-service restaurant industry inside and out. After leaving the Army in Hamburg, West Germany, he fell in love with the traditional Canadian dish poutine, and he’s been serving it ever since. And though technology and social media have changed how many franchises work, Britz believes the basics of good food still stand strong today. Britz chose poutine in particular because he wanted to share a unique, tasty food with more of the world. Something that locals would come to love; something that you had to go to Jimmy’s to enjoy. And thus Jimmy’s Fries & Shakes was born.
