• If you would like to sit with someone, it is important to include their reservation information on your form in the appropriate location. Each party will be billed separately unless instructed otherwise.

• T here will be shuttle service for all of the shows. For evening shows, tokens and an evening shuttle schedule can be picked up from the lobby in your community two days before the show. For daytime shows, please follow the Blue Route schedule. On-demand transportation will continue running until after the show is over.

• I f you would like to attend a show, but do not have a ticket, you may call the box office at 464.6433 to check availability. Typically, tickets are returned the evening of the show. You are encouraged to come to the ticket window to purchase a ticket.

• A rrive early enough to be seated before the lights dim. Walking into the darkened theater, down the aisle, and into your seat is not safe. It disturbs not only the audience, but the performer as well. Late seating will not be permitted.

• Seat locations printed on your tickets are not guaranteed after the start of the performance.

• Perfume – Some people are highly allergic to aromas. Kindly keep colognes and perfumes to a minimum.

Floyd Cramer is one of the most

admired and beloved instrumentalists of all time. His distinctive “slip note” piano style is instantly identifiable and can be heard on the classic songs of countless pop, country, and rock legends, among them Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers, and Elvis Presley. Exemplified by his 1960 smash hit Last Date, Floyd’s unique touch at the piano was an essential part of the “Nashville Sound” during the 1950s and 60s, and his far-reaching impact on the music industry led to his posthumous inductions into both the Country Music and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame.

Although he passed away in 1997, Floyd’s “piano magic” is still alive today through the music of his grandson, Jason Floyd Coleman. In The Piano Magic of Floyd Cramer, Jason Coleman brings his grandfather’s famous “slip note” piano style to a nostalgic lineup of some of the most recognizable and heart-stirring songs of yesterday and today.

Jive Aces & Tinseltown Jitterbugs in Swingtime Direct from London, the Jive Aces are renowned for their high-energy Jump, Jive and Swing music and spectacular stage show. The Jive Aces’ repertoire stretches from the timeless tunes of the swing era to the glitz of the Rat Pack, with a dash of rhythm & blues, swing and jazz. Awarded as semi-finalists on Britain’s Got Talent, the Aces feature songs made famous by such greats as Louis Prima, Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Sammy Davis Jr. and Ella Fitzgerald - along with a selection of superb originals taken from their albums.

Together for over a decade, the six-member, internationally acclaimed Jive Aces—along with six swing dancers, the Tinseltown Jitterbugs, will raise the energy level as the band and dancers jump and jive with some infectious, high-speed swing music that parallels the energy of 50s rock ‘n’ roll with all the silk and glamour of 40s swing.

Entertainer’s Series

Voices of Philadelphia in Broadway Etcetera The Voices of Philadelphia (VOPs) perform a variety of songs reminiscent of their work together over the years with the Philly Pops under the direction of pianist/Grammy Award winner Peter Nero.

Members of the VOPs performed as part of the opening performances of the Philadelphia Kimmel Center, and the new Constitution Center, and have performed countless years on the steps of Carpenters’ Hall in Historic Philadelphia as part of the 4th of July Welcome America celebrations.

Their repertoire includes patriotic songs, as well as Jazz arrangements and Broadway show tunes that have been featured with the Philly Pops, and countless Broadway celebrities in numerous Broadway Concert Series. The Voices are honored to reproduce some of their great memories with the Pops including their latest Broadway presentation featuring the music of the late Marvin Hamlisch, and singing the famed song One, from Chorus Line under the Hamlisch baton being wielded by the original conductor of the Broadway Chorus Line Productions. Eight members from the group will perform solos, duets, trios, and even some 4-handed piano arrangements.

Tamburitzans Artistically representing the dances, music and songs of East European and neighboring cultures, the Tamburitzans present a wonderful journey through the towns, back roads and villages of the “Old Country.” The Tamburitzans feature 36 dazzling performers dancing to fresh, live music performed on authentic instruments with hundreds of colorful costumes. On this musical tour you’ll travel through such countries as Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia, Greece, Russia and many more. Now entering their 78th season, the Tamburitzans is America’s longest running live stage show and also a cultural and historical legacy at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. They have kept their mission in the forefront for over seven decades, to allow the traditions of the past to live on through music, dance and cultural resources.

Simply Sinatra Steve Lippia has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of ‘standards’ and traditional pop music in the nation. His youthful, energetic talent and powerful show create a perfect blend of ‘classic’ with ‘today’. In this musical celebration Steve interprets some of the most well-known and beloved Frank Sinatra hits. His show introduces a new generation to this timeless music, while also appealing to long-time listeners. With a hot, driving band behind him, Steve moves from crisp, popping swing tunes to lush, poignant ballads with equanimity. Opera: Don Pasquale A video presentation with special guest John Darrenkamp.

Synopsis: When the elder Don Pasquale’s nephew Ernesto refuses to marry the woman Pasquale has arranged for him, Pasquale decides to father his own heir, and marries the lovely (but, alas, devious) Norina, Ernesto’s dream girl.

Join Metropolitan Opera veteran and OperaLancaster Artistic Director John Darrenkamp for a special video presentation of the satirical, sprightly, yet poignant opera comedy Don Pasquale. Before the video and between acts, John will give his insight on the ingenuity of this opera classic and will answer questions from the audience. As director of the upcoming OperaLancaster production of Don Pasquale, he will also give an insider’s preview of his staging of the work. Willow Valley Residents who attend will also receive a special offer from OperaLancaster for their May performance of Don Pasquale.

The former “Little Red Schoolhouse” on the corner of Beaver Valley Pike and Penn Grant Road is one of more than 300 one-room schoolhouses found in Lancaster County. Willow Valley Communities is surrounded by some of the best preserved of these iconic schoolhouses.

Lancaster County’s One-Room Schoolhouses and the History of the Common School Movement is a book written by Willow Valley Resident Ginger Shelley and recently published by LancasterHistory.org. Many of the photos in the book were taken by members of the Camera Club at Willow Valley who, over the past year, visited fifty of the best examples and captured nearly 6,000 images.

Learn more and help to celebrate the role Willow Valley played in this project by attending a program and reception in the Cultural Center.

Also visit a photo exhibition of the fifty highlighted Lancaster County schoolhouses in the Mylin House. You will learn about the national significance of Lancaster County’s one-room schools, view a video that highlights the collaborative nature of the project, and be given the opportunity to interact with the schoolhouse owners and photographers.

Amadeus Chorale Talented children and teens from the Greater Rochester, NY area will entertain with songs such as Sisters and Oh, Won’t You Sit Down. They will sing and perform American Sign Language to the Star-Spangled Banner, just as they did at the base of the Statue of Liberty. They have performed for Rudolph Giuliani, Colin Powell, Peter Jennings on World News Tonight Fourth of July Special, with Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan and in Hawaii at the Pacific Rim Children’s Choir Festival. They have sung in the Notre Dame Basilica of Montreal, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and Old North Church, Boston.

He conducts the Munich Philharmonic and soloists with a selection of his pieces, ranging from the scores for the famous westerns by Leone to Cinema Paradiso, The Sicilian Clan, The Working Class Goes to Heaven, 1900, The Mission, Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion, and more. Bach In NotreDame De Paris: Mass in B Minor - John Nelson Length: 1 hour 49 minutes Sung in Latin, with English subtitles.

The Orchestre de Chambre de Paris performs this monumental piece of music in the cathedral, NotreDame de Paris, under the baton of John Nelson. It incorporates pieces Bach composed as early as 1714, when just 29, to completing the masterpiece at the age of 64, just one year before his death. The cathedral plays a major role in the artistic element of the performance, and demonstrates John Nelson’s nonpareil mastery of conducting, especially of large scale orchestral works. Cast includes major international soloists such as Ruth Ziesak and Joyce DiDonato (sopranos), Daniel Taylor (countertenor), Paul Agnew (tenor) and Dietrich Henschel (baritone).

L’Histoire De Manon Length: 1 hour 56 minutes From the Royal Opera House in London, The Royal Ballet performs Manon, starring Tamara Rojo in the title role with world-famous dancer Carlos Acosta (Des Grieux). In decadent 18th century Paris, the young, beautiful and naive Manon is torn between a life of privilege and luxury with the wealthy Monsieur GM or love with the poor student Des Grieux.

Manon has become one of the Royal Ballet’s signature works since its creation by choreographer Kenneth MacMillan in 1974. This typically sumptuous production is designed

by Nicholas Georgiadis and staged by Monica Mason and Monica Parker.

Art Gallery Paul Keating As a licensed Psychologist, North Resident, Paul Keating’s professional title was Outpatient Director at Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Hospital’s Mental Health Center--but his spare time was spent painting portraits. The two interests, art and psychotherapy, have been co-mingled throughout his career, but painting was always a deep-routed passion.

Paul studied graphic design at the Parsons School of Design in New York City and portrait painting at the Philadelphia School of Art. As an avocation he was the Art Director of Eternity Magazine, a national church-related publication.

A missionary approached Paul to be a graphic designer to teach young Congolese how to design church-related magazines. So Paul traveled to Leopoldville in the Belgian Congo for a two-year assignment. But 1960 became a tumultuous time for Africa, so his tenure was cut short when the US Embassy evacuated Americans. His exhibit will include still lifes and portraits of people he’s met along the way. Paul currently teaches painting to Willow Valley Residents and others in the Lancaster community.

Elaine Wilson Many of Elaine Wilson’s artistic creations reflect her travels, while others represent subjects of special significance and/or fascination for her. All paintings are done in combinations of watercolor and ink.

Elaine’s art has been featured in a number of solo and group exhibitions. In addition to painting, Elaine has authored 20 books and is engaged in a lecturing career both in the United States and abroad. A former art educator and district-wide supervisor of art education, she is also the original founder of the Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg and its former Executive Director. She is the original founder of two private academic schools in Moscow, Russia, and holds degrees from Indiana University of PA, Pennsylvania State University, and Temple University. She currently lives in New Cumberland, PA.

Susan Bloomfield Susan Bloomfield, Providence Park Resident, grew up in New York City. She began her formal training as an art major at Brooklyn College, and has taught art for public schools in New York State and Lancaster County. She is known for using a wide range of styles to portray the world as she experiences it. It isn’t her goal to create a precise rendering of a particular subject, but rather to capture a mood or idea that will engage the viewer. She exhibits her award-winning paintings locally and at Gallery One in Chaddsford, PA.

Beckett Peter O’Toole again assumed the role of Henry II of England as his friendship with Thomas Beckett was immortalized. This film traces their relationship through a series of circumstances that results in the murder of the archbishop in the cathedral of Canterbury. The role of Thomas Beckett, played by Richard Burton, adds to the dynamic atmosphere of the performance.

A Salute to the “Great War” This year commemorates 100 years since WWI devastated Europe.

The conflict resulted in 37 million casualities including both the dead and wounded. It was called the “war to end all wars” yet it would usher in an even greater war in twenty years. In order to recapture this era in history, you will review the reasons that launched the war, the disaster of the Lusitania, wartime heroes such as Sergeant Alvin York and Manfred Von Richthofen, and finally President Wilson and his dream for a league of nations.

Nazi Thieves and Allied Heroes Many have seen the movie starring George Clooney entitled The Monuments Men. 1865 – A Year In Transition: Conclusion of the American Civil War The events and changes during the year 1865 were very meaningful and determined the fate of the nation itself. Beginning with the conclusion of a war, the year continued with an assassination in a Washington theater, the escape and capture of a confederate president, and a new era called reconstruction bringing additional grief and terror to African Americans in the south. This presentation will give a more complete view of the year 1865 and its pivotal position in history.

Bucket List Trip: Followed Eisenhower’s Army from London into Germany Jim Cluck was fortunate enough to complete a “bucket list” trip to see where his father, Warren H. Cluck, 397 AAA Battalion, Battery C, was stationed during WWII. He spent two weeks following the track of Eisenhower’s Army from London to Germany. He spent four days in Normandy and was at the 70th anniversary on Omaha Beach. He will share stories of his father’s time spent there during the war and pictures and stories during his visit 70 years later.

This next chapter covers the Apollo Fire, redesign and requalification testing of the Apollo for manned flight. Larry’s next job was for the Alaskan Pipeline and the last 13 years spent managing the legal, financial and technical requirements of subcontracts on energy systems, satellites, Space Shuttle and other GE programs.

Making a Difference Through Milagro House & CASA Carol Aastad is an advocate and volunteer for Milagro House as well as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) here in Lancaster County.

Carol served as board president for Milagro House in 2013. She will share why her involvement in both Milagro House and CASA has been so rewarding and she continues to enjoy volunteering with both organizations.

Although never a major area of study nor a career emphasis, curiosity about the past to help explain the present and to suggest the future has always motivated his interest in history. Retirement opened many opportunities to pursue this interest to a greater extent. To volunteer as a guide at historic sites became a way to continue learning and teaching. And, hopefully, to stimulate and respond to the curiosity of children of all ages about the people, places, and times of the past. “ Now He Belongs To the Ages” President Abraham Lincoln Series Without question, Abraham Lincoln is one of the most celebrated figures in American history. Lincoln is almost universally revered today as a man of rare ability and character who shaped the United States in his image, to the lasting benefit of all Americans who followed in his wake.

Over time, Lincoln the legend has grown into a giant of unparalleled proportions.

April 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. This series of talks will encompass different periods of Lincoln’s life using quotes and anecdotal stories that enlighten listeners to Abraham Lincoln, the man. The series culminate with the film The Conspirator, and coincides with a planned trip to Ford’s Theatre and the trail of the conspirators from our capital to its end in Northern Virginia. The film and the trip will require separate registration.

Gardens of the Great French Impressionist Painters Renoir, Cezanne and Monet were friends and all embraced Impressionism as painters, but also created beautiful gardens of their own. All three gardens are now open to the public: Renoir and Cezanne in the South of France, close to the Mediterranean; and Monet in Normandy, north of Paris. Each developed a garden as distinctive as their styles of painting. Understanding Exposure Moving from Snapshot to Photograph, Step 3 The first steps toward improving your photography and moving from snapshot to photograph involve understanding camera basics and composition (covered in previous classes). The next step is to understand exposure so you can obtain a well-exposed picture and so you can start to apply some creativity in controlling the settings. This class will give you an understanding of how the shutter, aperture, and ISO sensitivity work together to achieve the desired exposure; and, how they are used to implement creative control through depth of field and motion blur. Finally, you’ll see how all those strange markings on the dial can help.

sneaker hike Join us for an estimated 3.1 mile hike through the Reed Run Nature Preserve. We will be traversing the preserve via the Conestoga Trail, leading up to the House Rock Overlook, a magnificent vista of the unspoiled lower river gorge.

sneaker hike Lancaster County Central Park has wonderful trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. These trails meander across fields, through woods, and along creeks. Some trail, some rock, mostly up and down, some around.

The trails are mostly very smooth and forgiving with many rolling hills.

Lancaster County Central Park is probably the most convenient source of moderate trails in the Lancaster area.
