MESSAGE FROM THE DIVISION PRESIDENT
Hello Team, I hope all of you and your families had a great summer! As we get ready to send our kids back to school, I wish them all a successful school year. As a follow-up to the Spring Newsletter message, all the companies that are a part of HB Mechanical Group will be utilizing the same platform we use for the employee engagement survey. The HB executive team has asked us to hold off on sending out our surveys until September. This is the target date for all companies to have their respective engagement surveys sent to their employee-owners. So, if any of you have been wondering when the survey was being sent, be on the lookout in September. Our Leadership team encourages all our employee-owners to take the time to complete the survey so we can evaluate our organization and leadership so we can continue to make William R. Nash, LLC, a great place to work. Your thoughts and opinions matter to us more than you think. For the past 4 years, I have attended the ABC Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony to celebrate all the graduates of their respective apprenticeship programs. Getting to see all the graduates and their families celebrate their accomplishments over the years has been truly rewarding. I also take great pride in watching our William R. Nash employee-owners cross the stage to receive their diplomas while their families cheer from the crowd. Congratulations to this year’s graduates, Robert Randolph and Samuel Campbell, on a job well done! If any of you are interested in joining one of the ABC Apprenticeship programs to help further your career, feel free to reach out to Monique Estevez or David Flanagan. Our third quarter financials closed on June 30th and although we have had a relatively slow year so far, we have a great backlog of work heading into the fourth quarter and into next fiscal year. I believe that if we remain diligent on what we do this last quarter of the year, we can hit our target COP for bonus distribution. It is going to take a team effort, so let’s work together down the home stretch! PROJECT SPOTLIGHT CHARLOTTE KIMELMAN CANCER INSTITUTE St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands The Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute project is an extensive renovation and expansion of the Virgin Islands Cancer Treatment Facility, which closed in 2017 after sustaining significant damage from Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Construction began in January 2025, with completion anticipated in August 2026. J. Benton Construction serves as the general contractor. The redevelopment adds approximately 7,000 square feet of treatment space and includes a new utility yard housing the building’s chillers, domestic water storage, and fuel oil storage. WRNVI’s scope includes mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, low-voltage controls, and BIM/CAD services. The project’s chilled-water HVAC system also supports the facility’s linear accelerator, or LINAC, equipment used for cancer treatment. The plumbing scope includes domestic water, sanitary and storm systems, along with extensive fuel oil piping serving the emergency generator. The team also installed a new fire protection system featuring all-new sprinkler piping, a fire pump, and fire pump controllers. Working alongside project subcontractors, WRNVI provided the building’s low-voltage controls and completed testing and balancing. Extensive coordination by the WRN BIM/CAD team in Tamarac played an essential role in keeping installation accurate and the project progressing on schedule. Leading the effort are Vice President of Operations Steve Presley, Project Manager Ryan Summers, and Superintendent Kevin James. The Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute represents an important step in restoring access to cancer treatment services in the Virgin Islands. The project reflects the team’s ability to coordinate complex building systems while contributing to a facility that will make a meaningful difference within the community.
PROJECT UPDATES HCA FLORIDA LAWNWOOD HOSPITAL SOUTH TOWER VERTICAL EXPANSION Fort Pierce, Florida Progress continues at the HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital South Tower Vertical Expansion Project. Our plumbing team has been installing overhead sanitary and storm systems in preparation for the upcoming installation of multi-trade prefabricated racks. The mechanical team has also relocated the existing exhaust fans to the roof and installed the Kinetics vibration isolation pad that will support the new air-handling unit. The recent equipment lift marked another important step as work continues to move forward across multiple areas of the project.
PROJECT UPDATES HCA FLORIDA PALMS WEST HOSPITAL PATIENT TOWER EXPANSION Loxahatchee, Florida Major progress continues at the HCA Florida Palms West Hospital Patient Tower Expansion Project. The new medical oxygen park is complete, the cooling towers are set, and the tower’s underground work, foundation, and structural steel have all been completed. Work is also progressing inside the central energy plant, where our team is preparing the space for new equipment and piping. Throughout construction, temporary Trane chillers continue to support hospital operations, requiring careful planning and coordination within the active healthcare facility. From underground infrastructure to the systems that will support the new tower, each phase reflects the teamwork and precision of the entire WRN project team.

PROJECT UPDATES CUSANO’S BAKERY HOAGIE LINE Coconut Creek, Florida Progress continues at Cusano’s Bakery, where William R. Nash is helping bring the facility’s new Hoagie Line to life. Recent work includes installing glycol equipment and piping connections for the bread flour mixers and bread retarder unit, along with 6-inch and 4-inch natural gas lines connecting the city meter to the bakery ovens. The team has also installed flue exhaust piping to safely vent combustion gases and support efficient equipment operation. Our scope includes mechanical piping and equipment, sheet metal flue and duct systems, plumbing piping and fixtures, a grease trap, and thermal insulation. With each phase, the project continues to take shape through the skill and craftsmanship of our team.

GOLD COIN INITIATIVE
William R. Nash introduced a “Gold Coin” initiative recognizing team members that are going above and beyond for the organization. Each recipient is nominated by their supervisor and this nomination is brought to the leadership team for review. The coins accrue to gift card prizes which the recipient can spend how he/she pleases! Congratulations to everyone who has received this recognition!

WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE PIPELINE FATHER’S DAY LUNCH EVENT
We celebrated the dads of William R. Nash with a special Father’s Day lunch featuring paella, desserts, and raffle prizes. The gathering gave us an opportunity to honor the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and mentors across our organization and the meaningful impact they have both at work and at home. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the dads who are part of the WRN team!
WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE PIPELINE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION WEEK
Our Tamarac office celebrated the Fourth of July with a week of patriotic activities, good food, and friendly competition. Employee-owners kicked things off with The Great Star Search, searching throughout the office for hidden stars and the chance to win raffle prizes. The celebration continued with a BBQ lunch, dessert, and a festive balloon dart game featuring even more prizes. It was a fun opportunity to spend time together and celebrate the people who make William R. Nash a great place to work. Congratulations to all of our winners!
WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE PIPELINE WHEN COMPASSION CROSSES BORDERS: WRN SUPPORTS VENEZUELAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
Following the devastating earthquake in Venezuela, Assistant Project Manager Ernesto Villaroel organized a relief effort to help affected families, including his own family, friends, and fellow Venezuelans. The WRN team quickly rallied behind him, donating bottled water, gently used clothing, and other essential goods. William R. Nash also contributed six pallet jacks to help collect, organize, and transport the supplies. “As a Venezuelan and as a proud member of the William R. Nash family, I feel deeply grateful and honored to work alongside individuals and a company that turn compassion and social responsibility into reality,” Ernesto shared. On July 11, William R. Nash team members Robert Randolph and Samuel Campbell celebrated their graduation from the ABC Institute Apprenticeship Program (HVAC). Their graduation marked the completion of years spent balancing work, classroom instruction, and hands-on training. This accomplishment reflects the effort required to develop the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in the construction industry. William R. Nash recently celebrated the retirement of Catherine “Cathy” Arvanitopoulos after seven years as a project manager with the company. During her time with WRN, Cathy made a meaningful impact through her work, her support of colleagues, and her belief in the value of employee ownership. She was a strong advocate for WRN’s culture and consistently encouraged others to take pride in the company’s shared success. Cathy’s retirement marked the close of an important chapter, and her presence is already missed by those who had the opportunity to work alongside her.
