Introduction The main question on which I focused my works on was, how does the future produce uncertainty? This topic of the future and the uncertainty that it brings caught my attention because of all the situations I am experiencing right now. With the pandemic and being a senior, I started to think about what this meant to me and it seemed important to do my project about this. I started researching and found very interesting ideas.

I experimented with my works as I explored different media, compositions, and processes. After each work, new ideas and questions arose to help me continue my research. First, I began focusing on the feelings the uncertainty of the future evokes. Then, I focused on how the past and the environment we grow up in can affect our future. That led me to think about the different paths of life, the decisions we make, and how they can affect us. Then I thought if these affected our future or if it is already “written”.

Finally, I focused on the concept of "fortune-telling", specifically palmistry and numerology.
