Whole Foods Market can have a season-long presence at Waterfront Park with an 8’ x 32’ or 16’ x 16’ outfield billboard. Outfield billboards are the most popular signage option at Waterfront Park as they provide the backdrop for the action on the field and have fans “staring” out at them each game. They are also captured in newspaper, website and magazine photos as well as TV news highlights.

Your billboard will be part of the atmosphere at the ballpark as over 400,000 fans attend games and special events in Trenton each season. The stadium is proud to host special events such as the MAAC Division I College Baseball Tournament, high school and youth games including the Mercer County High School Championship, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk, the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Pet Expo and countless youth clinics, camps and tryouts giving Whole Foods exposure beyond Trenton Thunder baseball fans.

Whole Foods Market Healthy Choices Menu

In 2009, the Thunder introduced a menu of healthier concession items and branded it at the two main concession locations on the concourse (one on each side of the stadium) as the “Healthy Choices Menu.” The menu offerings were tweaked slightly for 2010 and next year the Food Service America staff is looking to add an additional vegetarian offering. A nutritional analysis of the 2010 menu is attached in a separate PDF. As the sponsor of this menu, it would be branded as the “Health Starts Here, Whole Foods Market Healthy Choices Menu”.

Whole Foods would receive two signs above the menu boards at each Food Court for a total of four signs on the concourse.

The Thunder would promote the menu with a public address announcement along with the Whole Food’s logo on the left and right field screens during the pre-game festivities in the stadium. Additional exposure for Whole Foods and their support of the menu can be garnered via a team and Whole Foods distributed press release.

Whole Foods Organic T-Shirt Shot

How do you make a stadium full of people go absolutely nuts? Send the mascot around the field firing t-shirts into the crowd with a giant cannon! Whole Foods can sponsor this nightly event and tie it together with the Whole Foods core value by using only organic cotton for these Thunder and Whole Foods co-branded shirts. During each game, the Thunder will send 12-15 shirts soaring into the crowd (1,000 needed over the course of the season). The event will be introduced over the public address with an announcement similar to, “Hey Thunder fans, who wants a t-shirt! It’s time for the Whole Foods Market Organic Cotton T-Shirt Shot!” then fun music would be played and Boomer and staff would circle the seating bowl.

The Whole Foods logo will be posted on the left and right field video screens throughout the promotion. Whole Foods may opt to provide Whole Foods only branded T-Shirts.

Health Starts Here Night Presented By Whole Foods

Fireworks nights are the most popular promotional nights that the Thunder host each season and Whole Foods Market will be the lead sponsor of the game and fireworks show on Thursday, June 2.

To enhance the night and make it their own, Whole Foods may choose to set up an exhibit on the stadium approach, have a display table on the concourse and have an exit giveaway (Thunder staff will distribute coupons/brochures/promotional items provided by Whole Foods as fans exit).

Whole Foods may also decide to provide an entrance giveaway such as reusable grocery bags (filled with coupons from your top vendors?) or gift cards. Whole Foods could distribute gift cards to the first 1,000 fans ages 18+, with the cards of varying amounts from $1 to $500 and the only way fans would find out how much the card is worth is to stop by the table on the concourse or by visiting Whole Foods in Princeton. The possibilities are endless for how your company can take ownership of the game – if you have an idea, we’ll work with you to make it a reality.

Whole Foods will receive 30 tickets to the game for staff or special clients, the opportunity to hang a banner in front of the stadium (provided by Whole Foods), ceremonial first pitch opportunities at the game, and receive at least three public address announcements promoting Whole Foods.

Whole Foods’ sponsorship of the game and fireworks show will be promoted on the Thunder website, email newsletter (35,000 subscribers), in stadium public address announcements, media advertisements and on the Thunder radio network. The game would be branded as “Health Starts Here Night Presented

By Whole Foods with Fireworks” in all promotional materials created by the Trenton Thunder.

Whole Foods Market Team Member Appreciation Nights

Whole Foods Market will receive 300 tickets – one for each team member – to attend a game in 2011. The Thunder will extend special group pricing to all employee family members as well.

The 300 tickets may be broken up over up to six games of 50 tickets each. All tickets are based on availability.

plus the family rate of $8 per ticket

Team Member of the Month Recognition

Reward the Whole Foods Team Member of the Month for April, May, June and July with a night at the ballpark the following month with their friends or family.
