Camp anderson needs 2015

      

Camp Anderson is a 501c3 Non-Profit ministry that relies on the generous donations of our partners to fulfill our mission.

Each year we publish our needs for the year and we trust God to move peoples hearts to contribute.

This year we plan to reserve over 200 of our beds for underprivileged young people that have never been to camp. Our most important project is to get these young people sponsored because they are the heartbeat of our ministry. This year we are partnering with several organizations like Florida Child and family services, Meridian, Orphanages and Foster care programs as the recipients of these sponsorships. Many of these young people have been thrown on the ‘trash heap’ of life and they represent the most needy in our society.

You will also see some of the other ambitious projects that we are looking to accomplish this year in order to grow the camp and reach as many young people as we possibly can.

Send Needy Teenagers to Camp

Camp Anderson has a passion to ‘Reach the Unreached’ of the next generation. We are alarmed at the growing number of teens in our community that have lost hope and suffer from abandonment, addiction, depression and abuse. This camp presents a unique and extraordinary opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people. When you read the hand-written comments from the teenagers and adults that have attended this camp you will be impressed with the realization that this camp is something special and that the results are unprecedented.

So, here is how it works.....

We have reserved approximely225 beds this Summer for underprivileged young people . We then solicit businesses, churches and individual donors (like you) to provide scholarships. We provide these scholarships to needy young people to be able to come to camp. We have developed relationships with quality organizations like Meridian, Florida Child and Family Services, Orphanages and Foster Care homes to provide these scholarships to the most needed young people in our society. While at camp, these young people are loved....unconditionally, and they experience God in a powerful way.

The sponsored campers receive a full camp experience including a t-shirt, a Bible and all necessary supplies. It is amazing to see how many teenagers lives are changed through this program.

Give a Bible to a Teenager

God’s Word changes lives! We understand the eternal value of making sure that every camper that comes to Camp Anderson has a copy of God’s Word. The Bibles that we provide are NKJ Old and New Testament and are customized with a stamp of the Camp Anderson logo on the cover. These Bibles are special and young people cherish them for a lifetime.

We need 600 Bibles X $7.50 ea. = $4,500 for the 2015 camp season.

Kayaks The Camp Anderson experience includes a daily kayak excursion that begins at Otter Springs and meanders through a majestic cypress swamp to the Suwannee River. This excursion is very popular and this year we plan to increase our capacity so more teenagers can expedience the beauty of God’s creation.

Video and Sound Equipment

Camp Anderson is in need of Video, Sound and Lighting equipment for our ministry stage. Thousands of young people and adults will worship and witness the preaching of God’s Word on our stage this year and this equipment will provide a quality presentation.

Wet Willie Waterslide When we saw the ‘Wet Willie’ water slide, we knew that it was the perfect match for Camp Anderson.

We can’t wait to see hundreds of campers zipping down the water slide and landing with a splash in the famous Suwannee River.

This slide will keep our campers cool and comfortable in the hot summers of the ‘Sunshine State’.

Camp Anderson Diesel Bus

Camp Anderson is in need of a diesel school bus that is road worthy enough to make out of state trips.

We serve many churches, schools, orphanages, and foster care students that need our help with transportation. We also have big plans to have free outreach programs at our camp and many of the local kids need our help to be able to attend.

Transportation like this will open many doors to reach young people that would never be able to attend our summer camp or outreach events.

Camp Anderson “Pickers�

We have needs for many smaller items that may be in your attic or storage shed just waiting to be put to use for the Kingdom work at Camp Anderson!

Below is a laundry list of items that we need .......

1. 40 Life Vest ($18 ea. new) 2. Commercial Warming Cabinet for the kitchen.

3. Golf Cart for Pastor Kevin.

4. Qty. 25 wooden picknic tables.

5. Game room Games (Heavy Duty)... Fooseball, Air Hockey, Pin ball, Video Arcade etc.

6. Coffee Shop equipment and furnishings for a small coffee shop at Camp Anderson.

7. 8 quart commercial mixer.

8. Two filing cabinets.

9. High capacity duplex color copier/printer.

10. Bicycles (New or lightly used) 11. Food items needed for the Summer: 400 Gallons Milk, 300 Gallons Orange Juice 500 Lbs. Chicken (We have a large walk in freezer to freeze these items)
