WILLAMETTE CONFLUENCE/TURTLE FLATS BUS TOUR

Explore the Willamette Confluence Preserve and Turtle Flats on a small bus tour with McKenzie River Trust and Friends of Buford Park. This 1,400-acre preserve showcases rare habitats in the Willamette Valley, including river corridors, floodplain forests, wetlands, upland oak woodlands, and native prairies. Learn about the conservation efforts, human history, and natural features of the preserve from volunteer docents. This tour is ideal for those who cannot walk the typical four miles of walking tours. Bring a bagged lunch and water, dress for the weather, and consider bringing a portable chair. An ADAaccessible toilet will be available halfway through the tour. Registration is required.

GUILLERMO DEL TORO: CRAFTING PINOCCHIO

Portland Art Museum. Join this showcase of the collaborative art, craft, and storytelling of the film, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio. This exhibit immerses audiences in its world, featuring iconic creatures, set pieces, stop-motion animation technology, and fantastical visual and sound elements. At more than 8,000 square feet, the exhibition will guide audiences through the creation and collective artistry of del Toro’s work. Lunch is available for purchase.

These services are a part of the support network that is helping older adults live at home safely and independently. Willamalane can assist you with providing information, support, and access to other resources. These programs help participants maintain maximum independence by removing individual and social barriers to personal independence. FOOT CARE (Ages 50+)

Licensed nurses provide basic foot assessment and nail care. This service is unavailable for people with diabetes because of the special care it involves.

LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program)

(Ages 60+) LIHEAP helps keep adults age 60 and older healthy through initiatives that assist with energy costs. Fall mailouts and waitlist enrollment will begin mid-October.

MEDICARE COUNSELING (Ages 50+)

Call a trained counselor to get free, unbiased help with your questions about Medicare coverage, options, appeals, and more. This program is run by Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance, or SHIBA. Call the SHIBA info line at 541-736-4421 to schedule an appointment.

SENIOR MEALS PROGRAM (Ages 60+)

Drive-thru the adult activity center parking lot to conveniently pick up a delicious meal. Indoor dining returns Oct. 2. To sign up, call Senior Meals at 541-736-4408 or Meals on Wheels at 541-736-4424.

FIDO PET FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTION SITE (Ages 50+)
