Wilkes Workforce Summit On Thursday March 17th, Wilkes EDC in partnership with the High Country Workforce Development Board will hold a Wilkes Workforce Summit where Business, Community, and Resource Leaders are invited to attend. No matter the size, if you employ people at your business, this event is for you! Keynote Speaker Dr. Harry Davis, PhD, regionally renowned NCBA Economist and Professor of Finance at Appalachian State University, will give a brief overview of the economic trends affecting workforce. After the speaker, you will hear from Resource Partners, and strategize on removing obstacles. Who Should Attend?: Business Owners (both Large and Small), Community Leaders, and Resource Partners What Should Attendees Expect?: You will be provided with local resources to tap into talent pools, and discuss creative ideas that you can implement individually within your businesses to attract or retain your workforce. Registration is required to attend this event.
