INGREDIENTS 2 cups rolled oats 4 cups water 4 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon Hearty Oatmeal Mix-In: Sugar & Spice, divided 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 1 apple, diced 1 /2 cup chopped walnuts DIRECTIONS 1. Add oats and water to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook until thick.

Remove from heat and stir in 4 tablespoons Hearty Oatmeal MixIn: Sugar & Spice.

2. Meanwhile, melt butter in an 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat.

3. Add apple and remaining 1 teaspoon Hearty Oatmeal Mix-In: Sugar & Spice; sautĂŠ for about 3 minutes or until apple is softened.

Coconut Oil Biscuits 12 SERVINGS

15 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS 2 1/4 cup flour 1 /4 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons baking powder 4 tablespoons Organic Coconut Oil 1 cup coconut milk DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. Use a fork or pastry cutter to combine the flour mixture and Organic Coconut Oil until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.

2. Add coconut milk and stir until dough starts to form.

Use your hands to incorporate into a ball. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and roll or press with your hands to 1/2 - inch thickness.

3. Use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out the biscuits.

Gather up remaining dough and repeat until all dough is used; yields about 12 biscuits.

Extra delicious when topped with our new Orange Marmalade!

4. Place biscuits on a sheet pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until biscuits have slightly risen and tops are starting to brown.

Skillet Shepherd’s Pie 5 SERVINGS

25 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS 1 1/2 pounds potatoes, diced 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 3 /4 cup low fat milk 1 pound ground beef, turkey, or chicken 1 bag Shepherd’s Pie Skillet Meal Seasoning 1 /4 cup tomato paste 1 /4 cup water 1 /2 cup frozen peas DIRECTIONS 1. Add potatoes to a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15 minutes or until tender; drain.

2. Return potatoes to saucepan and mash with butter and milk. Season mashed potatoes with salt, if desired.

3. Meanwhile, heat a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground meat and Shepherd’s Pie Skillet Meal Seasoning for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through.

4. Add tomato paste, water, and frozen peas. Cook until heated through.

5. Spread mashed potatoes over the filling. Serve.

35 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS 1 pound penne 1 tablespoon Arrabbiata Sauce Blend 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 (14.5 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes DIRECTIONS 1. Prepare penne according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Our Community Commitment Our annual Volunteer Day took place during the Wildtree National Conference 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri. Nearly 150 Reps turned out to package meals with Numana, Inc., an international hunger relief organization.

During last year’s Volunteer Day, Wildtree Reps helped to measure, weigh, seal, and package over 17,000 meals. This year, our Reps took it up a notch, packaging over 33,000 meals!

“Everyone has to eat to survive,” says Whitney Proctor, a Wildtree Senior Director and Volunteer Day participant. “When we gather together to package meals with Numana, we are meeting a basic need for a group of people for months or even a whole year, fully knowing that each meal may be the only one they get in one day!

“Our Wildtree family’s involvement with this organization is our way of extending our mission, to help people live healthier lives and offer solutions to real problems, to the world.”

The 2018 Wildtree STIR will be held in Denver, Colorado, and we will once again host a Volunteer Day to support a local charitable organization.
