Welcome to the latest issue of Wildside Times. A big welcome to all the visitors to our little coastal town.
We look forward to a massively successful summer season in St Francis Bay filled with friendship, braais, great weather and good times.

While there might be some queues - and it is recommended that you make bookings for all restaurants - there is plenty of space for everyone. Hopefully, we can all play together nicely.
Should there be any problems with sewage collection, potholes, water leaks, or other such services, please contact the municipality via WhatsApp at 081 760 9183.
We all need to adhere to several rules of engagement over the season to ensure that we enjoy a peaceful season together. Those include the usual ones like no speeding, no drinking and driving, dogs on leashes, and picking up after your dogs do their business, whether on the beach or in any public open space. We also need to be tolerant of others if the shops are crowded and there are petrol station queues etc.
For those who feel uncomfortable in crowds, remember that Trolley Dolly (082 376 1356) will do your shopping for you for a minimal service fee. There is usually a bit more space at the SUPERSPAR Village On Main at Humansdorp, so that is an option.
There will be the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen on the Wild Side and loud music from various sources, especially over the big nights around and including New Year’s. Soak it all in.
There will be crowds in the surf and on the beach (everyone will be heading to Cape St Francis for obvious reasons). Parking will be tight, but the water is usually warm, the waves are always fun, and you can paddle or swim further down to find solace. It’s a beautiful beach, all 2,5km of white sand.
So stay calm, shop early, get your meat, wood, blitz, and charcoal stocked up, remember that you can never have too much alcohol in the house over the season, and enjoy the festivities fast approaching. Just remember to pace yourself.
