Message from our Co-Founders Thank you for your ongoing support of Africa Fire Mission. AFM would not be able to continue advancing its work without your generous support. When 2020 started we had plans of expansion to Ghana and Sierra Leone and team trips planned to Kenya, Zambia and Ukraine. In March, with the start of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, we returned from exploratory work in Ghana and began shifting our mindset and plans to serving firefighters from a distance.

Africa Fire Mission is a 501(c)3 committed to increasing the sustainable capacity of fire departments in developing communities. We accomplish this through training, empowerment, support, and encouragement. Train: We partner with Governments, NGO’s, mission organizations, schools and corporations to provide education and training to firefighters and local communities. We use Community Health Education (CHE) to teach firefighters and community members in developing countries to protect themselves

As you review our annual report, you will see some of the highlights from our work in 2020 including: • T raining 25 individuals from 6 countries as trained trainers in our Community Fire Prevention Curriculum. • T ranslating our fire prevention materials into French and Portuguese (which will allow our materials to be used in 35 additional countries in Africa.) • Training over 600 registered individuals from 19 countries in our first all virtual fire training symposium. • O ver 16,500 community members trained in Community Fire Prevention by African Firefighters and Community Members • D onated of $1.8 million in firefighting equipment, training, and educational supplies to developing fire services.

Empower: We work to increase the ability of communities in developing countries to respond to disasters and provide relief when disasters occur.

Support: We provide personal protective equipment and communications tools to fire services throughout developing countries to allow fire

departments to operate in a safer and more coordinated manner.

Encourage: We build the capacity of fire services so that local communities are able to provide sustainable public safety and disaster
