Fusion 360: Final Iteration

The model is completely transformed when materials are applied to it, whether its by the change in colour and texture or the reflections the material produces or the components transparency. Having the ability to change the textures around gives more creative freedom to the creation process and could give greater insight when designing the models in cardboard form.

Although it takes longer to arrange the digital model and the process is more complicated when connecting the components together at angles or in the middle of surfaces; the ability to manipulate the materiality of the components, light source and intensity at will and the ability to freely move around the model gives it more creative freedom. Digital modeling allows for more precise shapes and locations at the cost of simplicity and time, though combined with physical modelling it can provide insight for how the model would look with various materials.

Components that were missing and components that were added by mistake on the original model were raplaced with the closest resembling components from the available pieces to keep the integrity of the original model intact.
