One day, our children and grandchildren will inherit what we surround ourselves with, so we must take good care of it. We try to think the way farmers have always thought; you should pass on what you have received in slightly better condition than when you got it. And how do we achieve that?

Wik & Walsøe is a Norwegian design studio that, inspired by and with deep respect for the untamed Scandinavian nature, creates porcelain and glass. The land and sea that we only have on loan, which we must take care of and pass on to the next generation.
Our porcelain is created to bring people together. Informal is probably the best description of the atmosphere we always strive for – whether it’s a modern or traditional tableware we shape. We want our products to be a natural part of everyday life and all of life’s small moments.

Alveblomst celebrates the beauty in life’s small moments – the pauses we return to and remember. The warm floral pattern brings nature to the table in a soft, modern expression, blending tradition and renewal through tones of green, burgundy, and muted rose.

Slåpe Rosa
Before the frost completely lets go, a beautiful and wild shrub begins to bloom – often unnoticed. From a distance, it may resemble waves of snow, but up close you’ll find millions of delicate, white flowers. It’s easy to understand why this blossom was once believed to hold magical powers. The name Slåpe Rosa is Norwegian for pink blackthorn – a tribute to both the flower’s strength and fragility.

Crafted for taste designed for experience
In collaboration with award-winning chef Håvard Werkland, we have developed three plates within the Slåpeblom collection, tailored for professional kitchens. The series is used daily at Brasserie Britannia in Trondheim and is designed to enhance both ingredients and presentation.
The plates are round with a wide rim and a gently curved well – a subtle frame for culinary expression. The series includes one 21 cm plate with a shallow well, and two 28 cm versions – one shallow and one semi-deep. Available in blue, grey, and green.
