Patient activates through the EVOKE app
Hearing Healthcare Professional turns this feature on/off in Compass™ GPS Once on, the hearing aid will start learning from the patient’s modifications to the preference control

How Does it Work?
SoundSense Learn utilizes machine learning, called supervised learning, to allow the patient to directly modify device settings to hear better in real world environments. SoundSense Learn quickly adjusts to meet the patient’s preference in an easy and efficient way. This feature also utilizes the Widex Cloud to provide future firmware and fitting strategies for a smarter tomorrow.
SoundSense Adapt is using a version of machine learning called adaptive learning, or reinforced learning, that copies the user’s choices to learn over time, in a slow way, based on their environments. When the user makes a preference control change in a specific sound class, SoundSense Adapt will learn the patient’s preferences over time, slowly and methodically, and gradually change the Preference Control setting in that sound class to reflect the patient’s behaviors. Note: This feature is not recommended for patients who make regular volume changes in dynamically changing environments.
