COM-DEX™ AND PLANTRONICS® Easy connection steps for seamless computer audio streaming Plantronics SSP 2714-01 allows COM-DEX to be used with a computer The Plantronics SSP 2714-01 is a Bluetooth USB adapter that can connect to a computer directly or through the Plantronics MDA220. You may pair the SSP 2714-01 with a COM-DEX so that audio may be streamed to the COM-DEX and so that the COM-DEX may be used as a microphone. To pair the SSP 2714-01 to your COM-DEX: SSP 2714-01

1. Make sure COM-DEX is fully charged and turned off (loop of COM-DEX is open) 2. Turn Bluetooth off or power off any devices paired to COM-DEX 3. Plug Plantronics SSP 2714-01 into your computer’s USB port 4. Close the loop on your COM-DEX

5. While searching, your COM-DEX will flash red and blue. The COM-DEX will stop flashing when the devices are paired Note: When paired, SSP 2714-01 will display a solid blue light for 5 seconds, and the light will proceed to flash 6. Y ou can now hear audio from the computer through the COM-DEX to the hearing aids. If on a call through the computer, the microphone of the COM-DEX will work for outgoing audio

Plantronics MDA220 allows the COM-DEX to be used with a PC and a landline The MDA220 allows you to use the COM-DEX with your computer and a landline. The MDA220 must be used with the SSP 2714-01 to connect with the COM-DEX. To pair the MDA220 to your COM-DEX (if COM-DEX has never been paired to SSP 2714-01): 1. Make sure COM-DEX is fully charged and turned off (loop of COM-DEX is open) 2. Turn Bluetooth off or power off any devices paired to COM-DEX 3. Plug Plantronics MDA220 into your computer’s USB port

4. Plug Plantronics SSP 2714-01 into your MDA220’s USB port (front of device) 5. Close the loop on your COM-DEX 6. While searching, your COM-DEX will flash red and blue. The patient can now hear audio from the computer through the COM-DEX to the hearing aids.
