Preliminary testing with hearing aid wearers revealed impressive speech intelligibility when listening to speech in high level noise. The speech intelligibility was measured using the NU-6 auditory test. The test was performed under head phone conditions.

It may be used as a sound therapy tool in a tinnitus treatment program that is prescribed by a licensed hearing healthcare professional (audiologists, hearing aid specialists, otolaryngologists) who is trained in tinnitus management.
